Have been coming here for more than a decade. Love the open views over the lake and the reasonably priced lift passes. The skiing is fun for intermediates and beginners, there's not much challenging for advanced skiers but that's fine by me as we go there for family fun. Dining facilities are average for Tahoe resorts (wish we had more like in Europe, but that's more than a 3 hour drive from home...). The ski school is terrible for young kids - no personal attention or understanding of the needs of younger kids. Went to pick up our son early one afternoon, he was sitting on his own, not wearing gloves. The instructor said "oh they might be indoors, some of them forget to put them on after lunch". WHAT? These are five and six year olds and the air temp is freezing. Sadly we've had this kind of experience too many times, over multiple seasons, for it to be just bad luck. We now go to other nearby resorts like Squaw if looking for ski school.
