I've eaten at Nicolino's twice now, once for a business lunch with a party of about 20 in 2003 and once again for dinner with my wife on a Friday evening 16 June 2006. The business lunch was pizza. There wasn't anything special about that. Dinner was a different story. The rooms seem to amplify noise quite a bit so it can get quite noisy especially with the Friday night gypsy violin entertainment and even more so with the Saturday night operatic singer. The Friday night gypsy violin guy Tibor and his pianist are fantastic entertainment. I tipped them well. Like the review before mine, we had the sausage bread appetizer. Fantastic. Wife had spaghetti and veal for dinner, and for lunch the next two days... She said it kept getting better. I had Osso bucco for dinner and for lunch the next day... Fabulous! It took a lot of self control not to eat it all in one sitting because it was all so good, but we really wanted to save room for dessert. For dessert, we had the strawberry flambee. Absolutely fantastic! And quite a show. It's prepared right by your table. The guy cooked up strawberries in butter, cinnamon and some liquors, with lots of big flaming spectacle. Then he topped a serving of vanilla ice cream with it. Very tasty. We each also had a glass of wine. Our total bill for the dinner for two was $100 minus entertainment coupon.
