The Waterfront was really a top notch experience. First, the common area's were lively, modern, and gave a luxurious vibe. I spent one of my evenings lounging around the grass area outside with friends and spending some time at the bar. The food was great at the restaurant and all the staff I ran into were super friendly. Overall it was a great experience and I would easily recommend it as the top place to stay in Stockton.

Since our son enrolled at UoP we've stayed at this wonderful hotel four times and we've always had a great experience. As other reviewers have stated the rooms and the courtyard are beautiful. The front desk, restaurant and housekeeping staff are courteous and helpful. Two additional benefits make this THE PLACE to stay for UoP visitors. The first is a very generous UoP discount. The second is their UoP shuttle service that runs continuously throughout the school day and on call for off hours. While it's an easy drive to campus if you're visiting on a week day finding parking can be tough so you may prefer using the shuttle. The shuttle will take you anywhere within a five mile radius including the Stockton airport once.

Room Tip: Student apartments are on the 4th floor and up so if you're concerned about noisy students ask f...

After reading rave reviews of this hotel, I was extremely disappointed our weekend stay was horrible. First, we had to change rooms because the television was not operable. Then, the new room's thermostat and ac unit did not work. But, most importantly, we were unable to sleep because the University of Pacific students held an extremely loud party until way past 2:30am! The hotel security did nothing to help the situation. The front desk apologized and offered a breakfast voucher. Are you kidding? I am giving one star because the room was clean. Will not return. Makes me not trusting of other trip advisor reviews...

Room Tip: Choose highest floor and furthest from university student rooms. Avoid weekends.

After recently moving out of state, I needed to come back to Stockton for a few days to take care of some family matters. I checked in to the Waterfront Hotel and did not want to go home. The staff was top notch, and the management's attention to detail was apparent throughout. The lounge/bar area is first class. The beautiful courtyard area has a magnificent view of the downtown water channel, along with games and a wonderful pool and spa to relax in. If you are staying in Stockton, I absolutely recommend staying here.

Room Tip: First floor rooms will get you to the lobby quicker for the free hot Starbucks coffee in the morning...

The suite was excellent with a view and a balcony. The entertainment was very enjoyable with perfect accomedations. The restaurant was superior with great seating. All of the staff went out of their way to make sure the stay was perfect. There is no other hotel in the area equal to the University Plaza Waterfront.

I stayed at this hotel with my family while I was visiting Stockton. Great service. People are nice. There's a dirty but good-enough-to-look-at lake. Price is good. There's a park on the other side. It's downtown Stockton so there's places to hang out and eat. But it's Stockton so try not to go out at night. The courtyard is quite nice to hang out at. Much better than any other motels or that other hotel in Stockton.

This was a first-time stay at this property. Was pleasantly surpised that the guest rooms were well-designed, extremely functional with great working space, and an oversize bathroom with huge shower. Hotel staff were extremely responsive. There was a climate control saver on the AC and I wanted to cool the room down more for sleeping...so an engineer promptly came and reprogrammed the AC so that I could sleep 4 or 5 degrees cooler. That was a really good customer service touch.
The meeting rooms are nice, set-up staff terrific. Very accomodating. Would highly recommend this property to others scheduling business meetings.

Room Tip: Cant go wrong with any of the rooms
