“Ideal serenity”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2014

The word stands for it. Located in a very peaceful calm private tea property. The marsh has been converted into a beautiful lake. The chalets are located above the lake in a peaceful setting. The locality is popular for gems to signify this each chalet is named after a precious stone and a sample is embedded to the wall at the entrance. The chalets are very comfortable equipped with all the necessities. The restaurant is situated by the lake. Delicious food is served by the friendly staff whilst enjoying the view of the ducks swimming in the lake. I would recommend this as an ideal pace for a getaway from the busy city life.

AMAZING!!!!
After arriving at Lake Serenity after a very long and distressing journey we were so pleased to be greeted by Viktor and Nishara, who are a part of the wonderful team working at Lake Serenity. We were feeling stressed and exhausted but instantly felt at ease due to their impeccable customer service and kindness. We had booked an excursion for very early the next morning, but were devastated when we discovered how far we would have to travel the next morning and therefore not be able to spend any time at Lake Serenity. Viktor and Nishara did their utmost to rearrange our excursion allowing us for us to have an extra day and night at the beautiful Lake Serenity.
Our time spent at here was most definitely the highlight of our amazing trip in Sri Lanka. The Boutique hotel itself is absolutely stunning. Our ‘Pink Saphire’ room was beautiful, equip with a four poster bed and a breath taking view from the balcony of the rice fields. The infinity pool was so relaxing completely immersed in nature with highly attentive staff who catered to our every need.
During our stay the staff organized at our request a trip to the local tea plantation free of charge. We were picked up, taken on a private tour through the factory and even invited into the owner’s office to enjoy a cup of delicious tea.
The food at Lake Serenity is also of very high standard and once again the service was to match. On our second morning we had to leave very early but they insisted on opening the kitchen early to have our breakfast ready for us before we left. This was just another example of how willingly they were to go above and beyond any of our expectations to ensure our stay was the best it could possibly be.
Lake Serenity was truly the most amazing place any of us have ever stayed and I truly could not speak higher of this place in any aspect. Our stay at Lake Serenity is one that we will never forget and will always cherish.
If you are considering staying at this hotel you will not regret it.

Room Tip: We stayed in the pink sapphire room and had a beautiful view

The staff was friendly and the boutique was well organized and had all required accessories.
The surrounding is beautiful, quite and calm. There is walking paths from the hotel main buildings to the Boutiques area.
The restaurant was little slow but OK. Food is quite good.
Hotel is surrounded by tea plantation.

This is a lovely Boutique Hotel Property, surrounded by a lake and a dazzling organic tea plantation. Rooms have no numbers but named after the famous gem stones found in Sri Lanka. Interior of the room had the theme of an antique villa house of Sri Lanka with luxury antique furniture but with all the modern facilities such as Wi-Fi, Mini Safe, Mini Bar, 24hrs tea and coffee making facility and drinking water. Huge restaurant with the bar at the lake is so romantic at night. Loads of local and foreign birds attracted to the property with some seasonal migrated birds from some far away corners of the earth. Pool is OK and they try their level best to keep it clean because of the fallen leaves form the trees. Lot of green surrounded. I spotted a Helipad at the entrance of the hotel, Overall the stay is really good with the lush green surrendered.
