C'mon man. We stopped in after a long day of golf for a few Guinnesses and an appetizer. We were guests at the resort and could see our balcony from the Dubliner's patio. It was Tuesday Bluesday around 5:00 p.m. so the crowd was just starting to arrive for the band but there was only one other table of customers on the patio. After about ten minutes the kid finally came out to get our order. He made a comment about being busy getting ready for a private party that evening. Geeze. We're so sorry for getting in your way. We ordered our beers and then we ordered appetizers with our second round. It took another ten minutes to get our beers after we ordered. The appetizer never came so we asked him what happened. He said the kitchen was dedicated to the incoming private party and would not be making us an appetizer. Then he only brought one beer with our second round. Had to wait another ten minutes for the other beer. Clearly, they wanted us to leave because they were closing for a private party. Which is bizarre to me to do that on a Tuesday Bluesday night to begin with. Then we get the bill and we were charged full price instead of happy hour pricing. We left him a $20 and told him to fix the bill himself. I understand that there was a private party that evening. If that is the case, then close the restaurant to other patrons well in advance of the party instead of treating existing customers like total SH%T so they will leave. I guess the Auld Dubliner is doing well enough to turn away business in this crazy economy.

Great beer. High prices. Great location with views of the village and the mountains. Usually service is excellent but sometimes you get a cranky server. Yesterday our servers were more than attentive, they were friendly and anticipated our needs. The Irish music on Sunday afternoon was outstanding. I only wish the prices were more reasonable.

Great location, food was a little different with curry flavored fries and a few other things. Our server was new, but did a good job, tho the kitchen was pretty slow given the numbers in the restaurant. Hardly fits my idea of an Irish Pub tho, not really many Irish dishes on the menu.

Our group of 13 met here for dinner last week (the private room in the back comfortably seats 8 but we squeezed everyone in). Our server, Laura, was excellent and managed our group easily. Food quality ranged from excellent to awful. Excellent dishes included the salmon/orzo dinner and the harvest salad. Awful was the fish and chips. The oil clearly hadn't been changed in a long time, and the battered fish was greasy enough to wring out. They used to serve "boxty" meals (savory crepes) but have stopped. Too bad - they were the best thing they offered.
