“Great place close to airport!”

Stayed here in March for a few days after a conference my husband had. We used some Hilton points and sacraficed being farther away from downtown to get more free nights. This was a problem in the least! The shuttle (free) ran right to the airport and you could jump on BART and right up the heart of the city. You could then transfer to bus\subway\trolly from there. SF public transport isn't a cheap as say, NY or Chicago, but still very manageable.

The hotel was super clean and staff was very professional. Beds were comfortable. Room was quite.

Room Tip: Make sure to use the free shuttle to the public transportation!

Having had nothing but generally positive opinions about Garden Inns this one was a bit of a let down.
It all started at reception - why do hotels have only person on the desk who prioritise the ringing phone rather than the paying guest who is stood right in front of them? This happened twice during check in alone.
The other issue was the arrangements for a shuttle collection from the Caltrain station. I had to call twice as the reception couldn't process my request for a pick up, saying I had to actually be at the station before the shuttle could leave the hotel. I knew what time the train was arriving, I was only travelling from San Francisco.... Annoying!
Comfort was OK, rooms similar, just all round nothing special.

I love this hotel. I stay here whenever I'm in SF - usually just one night before flight home. This stay, I had a very loud AC unit in my room and tweeted same. I got a phone call from the front desk apologizing profusely for my loud AC, and offering to "hook me up" with some goodies.

Where else would this kind of service happen but with Hilton? I acknowledge that not every experience is going to be trouble free, and truly appreciate when someone goes the extra mile because of something so silly as this.

Thanks Hilton.

Very clean, comfortable and well-appointed room (frig, coffee maker, microwave) with a wonderful breakfast available. Very convenient to the airport, with complimentary van service to/from hotel. Great value, friendly staff, nice walk along the water a few blocks away.

Smoking smell on towels and bed sheets in my non-smoking room. Shuttle goes out every 30 mins from hotel, but you can't see the shuttle at the airport unless you call the hotel. Services at the restaurant is not good, big noisy talking from kitchen. Wi-Fi is veeeeerrrry slow.

Hotel was very clean. Employees were very friendly. Easy check in and out. We were with a very large group and they accommodated our group with a separate room for breakfast, which was very nice. The evening bartender was fantastic too! All in all, very great experience. Would definitely stay here again....

Have stayed at this Hilton Garden Inn 3 or 4 times this past year. Super convenient near SFO, but far enough off Hwy 101 to be quiet. On one occasion we left our vehicle there for 3 weeks while we were in Europe. They charge $25/week to park. Super deal! Thomas A. at the front desk goes the extra mile to make sure everything is OK. Their shuttle to SFO runs all the time. One day I needed to get downtown San Francisco and the shuttle driver offered to drop me off at the CalTrain Station. CalTrain into the City is less than half the cost as Bart. The made-to-order breakfast was great.

Room Tip: I prefer upper floor rooms (better view)
