“Newly Renovated, Handy to the Airport”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2014 via mobile

Rooms are newly renovated and very clean. Very close to the airport so it suited the purpose of my business trip. The noise from the planes and the train tracks near the property is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. It is quieter if you ask for a room facing the water. The staff is welcoming and helpful.

Stayed here for a week on vacation. The location is convenient to the airport; only five minutes away. Very easy to get on the 101 and get downtown to San Francisco on non-rush hour in 20 minutes. Didn't have to pay the inflated downtown hotel prices. Has all the amenities, a good small gym, coffee shop, and walking trail around the area. Would recommend it.

Great experience at this hotel! Started our California trip here. The desk clerk was very friendly and readily provided advice, materials, map and travel guide for the city. Rooms were great and the backdoor view of Oyster Bay was very picturesque. Great weekend trip. Only disadvantage was it was located away from downtown and tourist attractions. If you have a rent a car, this isn't so bad

Being someone who works for Marriott I have high expectations and I can Honestly say this was GREAT. Alexander who checked us in was helpful and very professional. The pool was a bit small but overall it was great.

We stayed at the Courtyard as the last stop at the end of our trip. The hotel was just fully renovated. Everything was new, modern and clean. The pillows were fantastic! This was our fourth stay in a week long trip and was the best stay.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 232. Large enough for four.

This Courtyard appears to have been recently updated and the carpeting, furniture, color scheme, restaurant, etc. are all up to date and contemporary. The staff is very helpful and friendly. There are a few things that prevent me from giving this property a higher rating. The biggest issue I have is that it is located off the beaten path in a business park. There is nothing walking distance from the hotel--no restaurants, shops, etc. They do have a complimentary shuttle to restaurants a few miles away in downtown South San Francisco. It is a $65 cab ride to get to Fisherman's wharf. Another issue is if your room faces the freeway, you do hear traffic noise from the constant flow of big semi-trucks. Also, you can hear the airplanes flying overhead from SFO. The complimentary shuttle from the airport stops at several hotels before they finally reach the Courtyard, so they do not have their own dedicated shuttle for this hotel The price was still very high, so this is not an inexpensive place to stay.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about your recent stay at our hotel. We appreciate the positive comments as well as the constructive criticism; particularly concerning the airport noise and lack of attractions in the immediate area. I wanted to take a moment to make a public apology and acknowledge that your recent stay clearly did not live up to the expectations you had for us, and that we set for ourselves. Feedback of any kind is the nourishment that lets us grow, and we hope that we have the opportunity to earn you back as a guest in the future.

My wife and I got into town on a late flight and wanted something close to the airport and this worked great. The lobby is very modern and updated compared to most Courtyards and that theme carries through to the rooms. The rooms are pretty good size for a major city hotel but the one knock on the room is how it is appointed; the room had a large couch that takes up far too much room. As8de from that everything is great. Overall, this is a solid option for anyone looking for a clean, convenient and affordable stay near SFO.
