I'm no expert on Chinese restaurants, but I did cook at one 20 years ago. Grand Palace was a disappointment. The food was average at best. We had four dishes of which two were good. The hot sour soup was too thick and too sour. The fried whole flounder was too greasy. The spicy green beans were good as was the duck. After the meal I went to the restroom and passed the live lobster, shrimp, and crab tanks and noticed a few dead lobsters and shrimp in the tanks with the live ones. Not a good sign. There are probably better choices in S San Fran for chinese food.
