“Absolutely awful, DO NOT STAY HERE!”

La Quinta Inn San Francisco Airport

I booked this room through Hotwire because I needed a decently-priced hotel for one night by the airport. This was the absolute worst hotel I have stayed at in a LONG time! First, upon checking in and receiving my room key, I went to the room and opened the door and someone else's luggage was in the room! The person who checked me in gave me a room that was already occupied!!! That made me very nervous. I'm just glad that the people staying in that room weren't there when I walked in. I then received a key for a different room, which was very run-down. The windows were absolutely filthy (as you can see in my picture), one of the windows would not lock, so it would have been quite easy for someone to break in (this made me even more nervous, as I am a female and was traveling alone), and the shower curtain had a strange stain on it. As others have said in their reviews, the floors were also dirty. The walls were paper-thin. The final straw for me came when I heard two police officers in the hall questioning the couple in the room across the hall from me. I kept hearing strange noises from that room, and then when the police showed up I decided to pack up and leave. I had only been there about an hour. I was on the elevator with the policemen and I overheard them saying they thought they were going to have to take the guy away in handcuffs because they thought he was going to try to attack them. I high-tailed it out of there and went straight to the airport even though I had 9 hours until my flight. I would rather sit in the airport all night than stay at that crazy hotel. It was definitely the worst hotel experience of my life and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. (By the way, I ended up getting on an earlier flight and didn't have to sit at the airport for 9 hours!)

“Where was the airport shuttle?”

I flew into SFO and called the hotel for the free shuttle pick up. After 10 calls (7 of which no one picked up the phone) they finally said that the shuttle driver is "flaky" and offered to pay for a cab, which I accepted. The room was OK, but the TV picture was bad and the coffee maker in the room was broken. The coffee maker was no problem because the hotel has coffee available 24/7 which was easier since it was just down the hall. The shuttle problem caused me to wait for 2 hours at the airport!!

“Corporate booked it, we lived it”

La Quinta Inn San Francisco Airport

Feb 23, 2008

We were inserted in South San Fran to build a new Lowe's Home Improvement Store. 10 days of 10 hour shifts straight. Our check in was horrid, as the man behind the desk could not locate our reservations and insisted we work for Contnental Airlines. To date our paperwork says so! Parking was tight.

But beyond that, our room was clean, they brought in a microwave & fridge, gave us extra pillows, towels, ashtrays & left extra cups when asked. The breakfast was ample and had hot food on it.

It was a comfortable place to crash for 12 nights.

“Horrible”

La Quinta Inn San Francisco Airport

We booked this hotel to stay one night before flying out of SFO and thankfully we were only there one night. The bedding had hairs in it, the hot water handle in the shower did not work properly, the television remote did not work, the carpets were dirty along with the tile floors and the room had an overall smell of being unclean.
After laying in the bed I had a red rash on my arm due to the bedding issues.
The noise was not horrible considering you are close to the hwy/airport. It appears there are plenty of hotels in this area and if you want a decent nights sleep, I would book somewhere else.

“Dated”

La Quinta Inn San Francisco Airport

Oct 16, 2007

All in all our stay at LaQuinta was okay, but there were a few problems. The major problem was that when we made our reservation we were told that we would be in the main building, but when we got there to check in we were told that we would not be in the main building but in the annex between the train tracks. This caused us to have to walk to the main building in the morning for breakfast. Also the room was dated: the carpet was dirty, the fridge was not working, the microwave was broken, there was foam stuffing from the recliner on the floor, and the drapes were filthy. We were told that we would be moved to another room when it became available, but that never happened. In the end, because they had not followed up on what they said that they would do, they only charged us for one night (we stayed 4 nights). The hotel truly needs an overhaul, because it is in the ideal location, about 10 minutes from San Francisco's attractions and only 1 hour from Monterey. This hotel is a good base camp if you are only going to sleep there.
