We booked this hotel to stay one night before flying out of SFO and thankfully we were only there one night. The bedding had hairs in it, the hot water handle in the shower did not work properly, the television remote did not work, the carpets were dirty along with the tile floors and the room had an overall smell of being unclean.
After laying in the bed I had a red rash on my arm due to the bedding issues.
The noise was not horrible considering you are close to the hwy/airport. It appears there are plenty of hotels in this area and if you want a decent nights sleep, I would book somewhere else.

All in all our stay at LaQuinta was okay, but there were a few problems. The major problem was that when we made our reservation we were told that we would be in the main building, but when we got there to check in we were told that we would not be in the main building but in the annex between the train tracks. This caused us to have to walk to the main building in the morning for breakfast. Also the room was dated: the carpet was dirty, the fridge was not working, the microwave was broken, there was foam stuffing from the recliner on the floor, and the drapes were filthy. We were told that we would be moved to another room when it became available, but that never happened. In the end, because they had not followed up on what they said that they would do, they only charged us for one night (we stayed 4 nights). The hotel truly needs an overhaul, because it is in the ideal location, about 10 minutes from San Francisco's attractions and only 1 hour from Monterey. This hotel is a good base camp if you are only going to sleep there.

I needed a hotel for the night and couldn't get anything in downtown San Francisco. No problem, really, since this La Quinta is just a few minutes from SFO airport and allows me to get on the freeway into the city very easily.

From the outside, the hotel looks a bit like an "old Spanish-style" place. I was a bit worried since it's located between Hwy 101 and a vegetable processing business that has bins of veggie scraps parked outside.

The inside of the hotel is very fresh looking. The halls are clean and it seems that all the placards are new. In my room (#117), it's a basic little hotel room. The bathroom is actually quite large with an oversized shower (no tub) and updated fixtures. The internet access is free for a day and it works fine, proven by the fact that I am typing this review from the hotel room.

This hotel may be a bit too noisy for people who are used to more quiet. The noise from Hwy 101 is obvious and constant, but nothing that keeps me up. There is another low-frequency noise that I keep hearing, not sure if it's a guest upstairs, the elevator or something else.

The price is right for a secure night of rest if you can put up with the noise. The hotel serves breakfast in the common area, which also looks fairly new.

Family of 4 stayed in two separate rooms for two nights. We arrived 1 hour prior to the published check-in time but staff went out of their way to check us in early. Our rooms were perfectly located across the hall from each other and very clean and comfortable.

The hotel is showing its age. Several maintenance issues presented during our stay. Upon check-in, we had to move after discovering the toilet wouldn’t flush. Also, apparently the plumber only has one valve for the showers, as both rooms had the cold water faucet reversed from normal, and the kids room valve didn’t close completely. Internet access was very slow and wired.

The hotel and location served our purposes well since we spent our time touring San Francisco. We would stay here again.
