“I'll be back!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2012 via mobile

I stayed here for 3 nights while on business and was pleasantly surprised. I had a very late arrival (2.00 am) and the front desk could not have been nicer.
I had a great room, not huge, but big enough for a large bed & a small sitting area with views over the marina. The rooms are perfect for a nuce relaxing stay. Very comfortable bed and with a fireplace, which is a nice touch. One of the best things is breakfast delivered to the room. Not a huge choice, but a great way to start the day. I'm sure for some this place is a little out of the way from downtown San Francisco, but for me it was perfect. There's a great walking/running trail directky outside which can rally help with the relaxation. It's about 3 miles from the airport and on the northern tip of South San Francisco. It's very convenient for HWY 101 and although it is close to the airport, you don't really hear the airplanes, unlike Burlingame which is where I usually stay. Overall I've had a great time and would hope to stay here next time I'm in the area.

“Fantastic choice!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2012

Beautiful, warm, welcoming hotel with thoughtful and caring staff. Breakfast delivered to your room each morning is superb (and included in the already excellent price). Fireplace, bay view and breakfast nook in every room. Luscious bedding, lovely lobby, awesome bar staff (Mike made me a hot toddy when I was sick that fixed me right up). Very convenient to airport, city and other points south of SF (such as Palo Alto). Parking is free and ample. Only downside: you do need a car if you stay here, as there is nothing walking distance. But the upside of not staying in the heart of the city is that I was not accosted by screaming homeless people every time I ventured out at night. This is one of my favorite hotels ever and will be my new top choice in San Francisco.

“Excellent Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2011

This place felt like staying in the guest room at a nice house. It's a smaller, unique property that doesn't have that cold airport-hotel feel to it. The best part of the place is the service though - they seem to genuinely care that you have a good stay. I had an issue with the shuttle service, but they ended up reimbursing the taxi I had to take from the airport. Would you ever get that at a chain?

Room Tip: I can't imagine which rooms would be bad, except the ones right next to the elevator.

“great stay for overnight before departure”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2011

we chose to stay at this inn prior to an early morning departure from san francisco airport...we are only sorry we didn;t check in earlier: it would be wonderful to walk around the piers knowing that we did not have to deal with any traffic, and unwind after a great, but busy, holiday in san francisco and northern california
Situated in a marina, our room faced the water and we sat and relaxed watching the yachts and boats come and go, people walking around the landscaped grounds- very relaxing...we even had room service for breaksfast; what a treat.
the fireplace in the roon was wonderful and we were able to totally unwind and relax knowing we were only minutes from the airport-via shuttle.
we have stayed at many 'near airport' hotels, but this by far, was wonderful. food in the restaurant was great and a wonderful way to end our stay in california...decor shown on the website was a little disoncerting but in reality, not an issue.
We would highly reconmmend for a stay prior to flying out from the airport.

“Home from home!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2011

I had a good feeling about this place as soon as I saw the website & my feeling paid off! I stayed at the hotel for 3 weeks whilst I was studying at the baking institute, from the moment I arrived the front desk could not have been more welcoming & helpful. They offer a courtesy couch which makes San Fran & the surrounding areas really accessible. It was obvious that all the team take a real pride in the role at the hotel & this even carries through to the morning breakfast lady, who is so lovely & friendly. The restaurant is the best in South San Fran & again the staff knowledge, bond & professionalism is obvious from the moment I entered. I was a little nervous at first as this is a busy wee bar & restaurant, sometimes eating or having a drink on your own is a little intimidation or lonely.... But NOT in this bar, by the end of my stay I was made to feel like part of the family. Michael, Lacey & their team really know how to make people feel welcome & nothing is a problem. The kitchen is really proud that all there meals are made from scratch & this is obvious in the finished product. This is an American bar/restaurant with flair & personality & I guess thats why its packed with locals & hotel guests every night. I really loved that you could sit at the bar & chat to locals as well as guests, I think this is quite rare in a hotel & it made my trip all the more special. The rooms are more than lovely, they are spotless & the view is superb.
Keep up the magic Inn at Oyster point as you are the best & I will be back!!!!!
