“Can't beat the location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013

This hotel may need some updating but the location is unmatched. There are very few affordable hotels in Sonoma which allow you to walk to the Square for shopping, dining, etc. The staff was friendly enough, the room was spacious and the continental breakfast is a nice amenity. The location is what really makes this hotel attractive.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a room with a balcony - the interior courtyard is really nice and if you like the sound o...

Dear Tsgil,
Thank you very much for your comments. We are very fortunate to be located just a short walking distance to the Sonoma Plaza.

We are currently in the process of upgrading our property, such as new TVs, granite counter tops, new carpeting and lighting as well as updated air-conditioning units.

I am glad that you had a nice experience with us and we hope to have you as our guest again.

Best Regards
Kendall Comfort

The Best Western Plus Sonoma Valley Inn was a definite treat for me during a recent wedding weekend. The location could not be beat. In fact, some wedding party members staying at a "posh" place a mile away wish they stayed at the BWP.

Located across the street from a Whole Foods and two blocks from the town square, this location has everything except a restaurant but does provide a really nice breakfast every morning.

I highly reccomend this hotel to anyone looking for a Sonoma Hotel at the center of it all.

Rooms are spacious and very clean. We had a nice fireplace. The pool area is well maintained. The location is great for visiting the square in sonoma. We didn't try the breakfast since there is a Black Bear restaurant within a very short walk.

Room Tip: We stayed on the first floor very close to the pool and spa. We did not hear any noise from the poo...

Clean, decent hotel right in the downtown hotel. walking distance to everything.
Price is good.
They have ice tea and coffee in the lobby all day.
Breakfast is very basic contiental style. They do have breastfast burrito that you can heat it up with microwave.
The only minor issue is that the room description may not be correct when you book it on line. The internet rate will not give you either balcony even it was in the description on line. If you do not need balcony or patio then it is really no big deal. These balcony or pation are low wall. Not much privacy at all.

This is a smaller, quieter hotel. It has a beautiful courtyard with fire pit at night. Nice size hot tub and heated pool. All downstairs rooms open to a private patio and the courtyard. There are no elevators to the second floor. Their is breakfast each morning, a lighter contentinal breakfast, waffles/pancakes, bagles, muffins, coffee, juice etc. There are many restaurants surrounding for a big breakfast but this was quite perfect for us. This hotel is right downtown, so you can walk everywhere which is great! They were very polite and friendly, especially Carlos. Our room had great comfy beds with lots of pillows, loved that. A fireplace with firelogs! It was very comfy and relaxing, slept great! would defintely stay here again!

Room Tip: we had room 108, it was great as all downstairs rooms are, wonderful private patio that opens to poo...

Hi StacieKelseyville,
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on our hotel. I am so pleased that you had a nice experience staying with us. The garden courtyard really is a lovely place to sit outside and enjoy before returning to your room to relax in front of the fireplace.
We are very fortunate to have Carlos to have Carlos. He is an asset to our team.

It is a typical Best Western; room is old looking and dark but bed is very comfortable and clean,(first floor facing pool). Location is great, walking distance to the square and across from Whole Food Market. If you are looking for a nice and reasonable place to stay, this is it. But don't expect luxury. Breakfast is typical, coffee, tea, milk, juice, muffin, toast, cereal, fresh waffles, apple, orange, which is good enough for a quick breakfast. Fresh coffee and hot drink in the lobby is an extra treat. We don't mind staying here again if we go to Sonoma but not on first floor!

Room Tip: Upper floor rooms, avoid noisy people upstairs!!

We stayed here as part of a group. It was very well located, within walking distance to the Sonoma square and lots of good restaurants and fun shops. The staff was helpful and friendly, the breakfast buffet offered a lot of choices, the bed was comfortable with good linens and the room had a working fireplace, a very nice touch. This place would get a better rating if they re-tiled the bathroom floors and put some counter space in the bathrooms.

Hi Linda,

Thank you for your thoughtful remarks. We're glad that you and your group enjoyed your stay with us. We are lucky to be so centrally located and it's definitely a feature our guests enjoy.

Guest appreciation of our staff is always nice to hear because they really strive to make our guest's stay special.

I'm sorry the bathroom did not meet your expectations. We have been going through our guest bathrooms this winter and replacing/repairing tiles where needed.

Thank you again for taking the time review your stay. We hope your group is able to stay with us again next year.

All best,

Rose
