I've visited Sonoma every Feb for the past three years, and stayed at this hotel every time. The location near the square is excellent, and rooms spacious, and the individual balconies overlooking the courtyard are a great place to enjoy a glass of wine after a day touring the sonoma valley. The breakfast is ok, but given the dining options available around the square, I would give it a pass unless you are in a hurry or a budget. The fireplaces are a bit gimmicky, as they only burn duraflame logs, and only one at a time - its not really the roaring, crackling fire one imagines.
Be aware that this two story hotel does NOT have an elevator.

Since, the Victorian Garden Inn totally disregarded my reservation and late at night, I was forced into looking for another hotel.
I found the Best Western and when I came in late and asked if they had a room, they were very accommodating!
Not only did they give me better than rack rate but a very nice room.
The room was clean, nice bed, mini fridge Nd was quite.
I would recommend coming here as it is. Hood value and run obviously by people that know what customer service is!

We just stayed here with our family (2 kids + wife and I) and we had a nice time. Rooms were really nice for a Best Western...staff was very nice and helpful. Pool was heated and they have a nice jacuzzi spa.

Breakfast was included and was okay, nothing special but acceptable.

It's convenient to the Sonoma Square...walking distance to shops, restaurants and tasting rooms.

For the money, it's an excellent value in Sonoma. We would definitely stay here again.

Best buy for the money Great location Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Ask for winery coupons and get the discounts. Buena Vista winery in Sonoma is one of the best Harvest moon cafe is great for dinner and Sunday brunch, Jen is the owner. Black Bear restuarant accross the street is terrible. Golden Hawk Cafe accross from BB restuarant has a GREAT breakfast and the scones are the best. Go down 4 blocks west to Sonoma Valley Market and it has a deli area that is much better than Whole foods.
