Chef Navarro sources his ingredients from local purveyors and nearby Sonoma farms, a commitment and dedication that is in line with El Dorado’s overall eco-friendly green initiatives.Navarro’s deeply satisfying cuisine can be enjoyed at El Dorado Kitchen. In the center of the main dining room, parties of up to 22 can gather around a 21-foot-long table fashioned from a single wood plank reclaimed from a Vermont bridge. This table is perfectly positioned to afford each diner a view of the artistic talents hard at work in the open kitchen. An outdoor courtyard allows diners to enjoy the beauty of Sonoma. Enjoy dinner under the fig trees and the clear Sonoma sky or take your lunch pool-side in your own private cabana or on one of the inviting day beds by the pool. “So-so eats in fun space”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2010

My girlfriend and I went there in the summer and loved sitting outside. We found the food was average at best. I had the short ribs on reccomedation from the concierge but, found it greasy and fatty. She had a rather bland cobb salad. Service was kind of snotty and was very hard to get ice tea refills. Don't bother with sitting in the inside, tables are too close together and place is way too noisy.

“Terrific”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2010

We sat outside under a heater and really enjoyed our dinner. Service was excellent, pleasant and efficient. We both had a great meal. Would go back any time. The restaurant was pretty crowded -- lots of activity. Fun place. Loved the location on the square.

“Poorly managed and dirty restaurant”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2010

anticipated our visit to this restaurant only to be very disappointed. first we ordered the Pate as an appetizer only to have the waiter return to our table to tell us they were out. next we ordered the dungeness crab and again were told their purveyor did not show up that day. so I changed my choice to lobster. Wouldn't you know it, the waiter came by yet again to say, oops we are out. So I ordered the prawns they did make it to the table but had no taste and were the size of small shrimp. the lamps above the table had not been cleaned for quite awhile and we were afraid the dirt and dust would fall into our food. The poor waiter Brian did his best, however the manager did NOTHING. He let that poor waiter to fend for himself. If I owned that restaurant I would have fired him on the spot,

“Fantastic! One of our best meals here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2010

What a find! Cute place, great list of wines by the glass and bottle, fantastic food, super knowledgeable and attentive service (ask for Caroline!). She recommended perfect glasses to go with first courses (pate de campagne, seared scallops over nectarine dice was amazing!). Also perfect bottle in our price range to complement both entrees: a melt in your mouth pork chop with braised figs and carmelized onions, and a braised beef with a crunchy crust and the perfect sauce. Loved the whole experience!

“Great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2010

My husband and I ate here on our recent trip to Sonoma. He had the boullibase, which he loved, and I had a fish dish (can't recall what kind) that was excellent. Everything was fresh and tasty, without heavy sauces or flavorings. The wine recommendations were spot on. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. We enjoyed eating on the patio.
