This is one of our"go to" restaurants in Sonoma, CA. The food is so good we are having a hard time venturing out to other venues. The presentations are dramatic. The dishes are innovative. They put a "California" spin on everything. I had fried green tomatoes. Delicious and a far cry from looking like the ones I've had in Mississippi though both were tasty! The wait staff knows wine and they ask several questions about likes and dislikes and make suggestions that are on the money. Good "by the glass" selection. They have a full bar. Everything was excellent from starters through dessert. The prices are moderate to moderately high. This is a hotel restaurant so I am assuming they are open for 3 meals a day.We went for lunch. It tends to get noisy when full and talking can be difficult. We have been there in the winter. It was much quieter and we did not need reservations. This time without reservations we had to wait at least 20 minutes and this was at 1PM. You don't have to call too much in advance for reservations. But as soon as you pull into town you should give them a buzz. There is also patio dining weather permitting. They have a HUGE table where 20 people were celebrating a birthday.
