We wanted our 40th Wedding Anniversary to be special. Just for us. After using the internet to review several inns in the Sonoma area, we settled on a couple to call. However, when I called The Inn At Sonoma, that was it. The person who answered the phone was delightful! We made no other calls and we're we glad we didn't. From the moment we entered the front door and were greeted by a young man named James - whom we predict will be president of the Chamber of Commerce someday - to the moment we finally had to leave, we were treated as a member of their family. And, as Edward said to us, "You've found a home here." We can't wait until we return. Just terrific!'

The Inn at Sonoma was a lovely surprise! It was a small hotel, only about 20 rooms, nestled back in the cute little town of Sonoma. It was a very short walk to Sonoma's town square, full of shops and restaurants! The hotel held a complimentary happy hour everyday with red and white locals wines, sodas, coffee, and tea along with cheese, crackers and other snacks!!! They also had a very nice breakfast daily with coffee, tea, cereal, yogurt, bagels, toast, muffins, egg dishes, potato dishes...etc...!!! Well worth the price also considering our room package was buy one night, get one free! The rooms were very nice! Fireplace! Robes! Patio! Well above expectations, and well worth the price!

I traveled to Sonoma during awful weather and so, while this is normally above my price range, I decided to splurge on a cozy and inviting place so I'd enjoy being stuck inside! This was the best! I am younger and obviously not dripping with money, so sometimes upscale places don't pay as much attention. However, from the first phone call onward, Sandy at the front desk was friendly and helpful and attentive, as were all the other staff I met.

My room was cute and homey but not overly frilly, and the gas fireplace was a wonderful addition. Everything was spotless, sheets were soft, bed was comfy, looked out onto a small private fenced-in patio that would be nice in better weather. Nice tiled bathroom, robes in the closet. The wireless internet signal was never a problem (they also offer a computer with internet and free printing for all guests in the lobby). TV in my room was not not big or flatscreen but was fine for me. Choice of about 25 DVDs available at front desk for free. I was off the lobby but they close the hall door at night so noise was never an issue. Inn is at a convenient location about two blocks off main square in Sonoma.

Breakfast both days was yummy, with pancakes and quiches in addition to the standard continental fare. Coffee, tea, and a water cooler always available in the lobby. Cookies in the afternoon. Wine and cheese hour in the afternoon had decent red and white wines, selection of cheese and crackers, and veggie tray.

Hoping to return to Sonoma and stay again at Inn at Sonoma!

The Inn at Sonoma was exactly what we were looking for. It is just a short walk to the quaint square with plenty of restaurants and shops. Our room was very cozy. The bed was extremely comfortable and we loved the fire place! The breakfast each morning was one of the best breakfasts that I have ever had! I loved the goat cheese quiche.

The decor was nice and modern. We especially loved looking at the different artwork in our room and throughout the Inn. We also were able to experience the hot tub, which was perfect after a long bike ride.

Sonoma is a great location to experience the wine country and we couldn't believe what a deal we got on the room!

  • Liked — Comfortable bed, quiet location and breakfast!
  • Disliked — I wish that breakfast had been served earlier, but then again I was on east coast time.

This is an absolutely lovely Inn located a block from the Sonoma Plaza, rather hidden back from the street making it very private and quiet. They have 18 rooms each with a gas fireplace and a spacious bathrom, all done in French country colors and decor. The rooms range from a "quaint queen" to larger king rooms with balconies. The Inn is about five years old and is completely accessible, with ample parking for guests and visitors.

The Inn prepares a hearty breakfast each day that includes egg souffle, blueberry pancakes, breads and muffins, toast and bagels, assorted fruit, coffee, tea and juice. They also have a wine and cheese hour in the late afternoon for guests to relax after a day in the country and to mix and mingle with fellow guests over a glass of local wine. The Inn attracts guests from all over the world, making for interesting conversation and exchange of Wine Country experiences!

Far and away, they offer the most wonderful hospitality, with a staff that caters to your every need. They were so gracious and helpful in making dinner reservations, arranging for wine tours, making personal recommendations as to where to go and what to do, and just making sure you were comfortable and enjoying your time in the Wine Country. They even made arrangements for me to spend a day in San Francisco before flying home.

I cannot say enough about this charming little Inn--the location, the accomodations, and the proprietors and staff are all top notch! I cannot wait to go back!
