“Loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

Nice little hotel in Sonoma, manager was very kind and helpful! Rooms are smaller but clean and have everything you need (ours even had a nice little patio in the back). Bathroom was huge! Parking only steps from door to room which was nice. We wanted to get away from the big resorts and hotels for a night and this was perfect...if you want to be fed with a silver spoon in wine country try another location, but if you are a fan of great value and cozy friendly atmospheres then this is the place! Highly recommended.

I stayed at the Sonoma Creek Inn as it was in walking distance of the Fairmont Mission where I was attending a conference. The price of the hotel was very reasonable for Sonoma and the room was large and clean. As a solo female traveller I felt safe here. My room had access on to a patio which I didn't really use as on the other side of the tall patio wall was a busy road - but it gave a nice sense of privacy. The road noise was a little bothersome but that's what earplugs are for. As I didn't have a car I was walking through the surrounding neighborhood to my conference each day. The area is a little on the rough side but I felt comfortable walking around in daylight hours. It's quite a hike to the centre of town and taxis cost 10- 14 dollars. The front desk had Complementry toothpaste etc if you had left any essentials at home and the free wifi was a life saver

Just stayed here for 3 nights and it was really nice, the room was very clean the bed really comfortable and bathroom had plenty of clean towels and a very good powerful shower. The Creek cafe was good for breakfast too. It's a 3 mile drive into the centre of Sonoma which was a $10 cab ride. There aren't many eating places within walking distance. The reception staff were very helpful on arrival too.

Yes, this is a refurbished motor inn/motel. No, it is not "downtown" or in a high traffic area. However, if you actually do some shopping around for hotels in Sonoma you will find that it is a very unique, cute option that is much more reasonable in price. If you know Sonoma you already know the price structure of inns/hotels and you have planned accordingly. For those that are looking for a quaint place to relax before and after visiting the many vineyards/wineries in the area and are on a budget, check this out. Exterior is typical of motel/motor inn with an updated paint job. Loved the room itself--comfy bed with unique linens, decent tv, wifi, re-done bathroom with nice bath products. Decor an updated 50's style that I think works well. They put a bassinet in for our infant son and he was able to sleep fine so noise is not an issue. I would not pay extra for a view or a deck as the view is of the parking lot and the deck is just a little extra space and table on a common balcony. Location is central to Sonoma wineries. We visited 2 before checking in and 4 the next day and we basically were in the general vicinity of the inn at all times. Short drive to "downtown" Sonoma if you want restos or to walk around the square. Great value/location. Not for those looking for a premium luxury hotel or classic B & B.

We stayed for two days when up in Sonoma for a friend's wedding. You wont be disappointed if you what you are getting in advance: 1) this a motel, 2) when they say "courtyard view" what they mean is a view of the parking lot 3) not in a "cute" part of town (i.e. suburban, residential, with the occasional trailer). That being said, the rooms themselves, albeit small with a decent size bathroom, are newly renovated with cute 50's style posters on the wall. The bed is very motel-like, and there is a cat that occasionally sneaks into your room. The front staff people are not particularly warm and told us when we checked in that we shouldn't excessively party or throw chairs out of the windows (I think as a joke?).
Bottom line: overpriced, stay somewhere else if you can. I would recommend the rooms with the patios so at least you are not staring at a parking lot.

We found this hotel by searching on Travleocity. My friend and I were on a roadtrip across California and didn't want to spend too much money. This place exceeded our expectations. It was cute, quaint, and comfortable. Plus...it is close to the town's center and close to many winerys. I would definately stay here again!

This was the 2nd year staying here and I will be back. It offers a great location along with solid rooms and a great staff. There is a breakfast place attached to the inn and dinner establishments are a short walk up the street! This place offers all that you need at a reasonable rate! I definitely recommend it!

Room Tip: I am not sure if all rooms have patios but mine did and that was room 11.
