“A really nice place ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

This hotel is a very nice and clean hotel with big rooms. It has nice pool area with jacuzzi, gym and nice sun beds and groups with tables and chairs.
The hotel rooms are surrounded of a well kept garden, so it is very green.
To walk to the town square takes about 12 minutes and I can warmly recommend to do that. In the centre of town you will find a lot of wine tastings, restaurants and other nice places to visit. During our stay we were lucky to be there on the same day, Tuesday, as they had their farmer market in the park. A lot of food, people and live music.
I like Sonoma and El Pueblo Inn.

We went to the El Pueblo and we really enjoyed our stay. The room was accurate to the picture I saw when I made the reservation.
The room was big enough and clean. The bathroom was clean as well and very big(we had the room for disabled person). We had a nice view on the garden, and it was quiet.
The breakfast is good, and the pool area is great.

On the bad side, we found the room a little dark. But that would not stop us to go back.
Also, they it would have been nice to have a little recycling bin in the room. I had to make a bag for it, and hopped they did not pu it in the garbage.

A great hotel for a friendly price. family friendly, very good location in Sonoma and close to the Napa valley. We had a nice breakfast with giant strawberries;-) the jacuzzi and swimming pool made the stay even more enjoyable. we absolutely loved it and advised to all our friends!

Stayed two nights in the Adobe section. Rooms were spotless and very comfortable. Complementary breakfast had a nice variety to start the day. Really appreciated the free internet and parking. The only issue I had was the very old TV made viewing a challenge. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay again!

Having just spent a night at the Fairmont in San Francisco, at first glance I was disappointed in the El Pueblo Inn (but what wouldn't be disappointing after the Fairmont!). We booked this hotel mostly because it was the only hotel in the Sonoma area that would allow us to stay for just one night on the July 4th weekend. I wouldn't say this hotel was inexpensive, but for Sonoma it wasn't bad. The room itself was smallish and quite dark. However, the beds were comfy, there was an in-room fridge, and the bathroom was more than adequate, with good water pressure. The grounds of the hotel are lovely; someone takes very good care of the gardens and they are beautiful. The pool area is particularly nicely landscaped. Every person we met on the staff was SO nice, friendly and helpful. The location is great, about a mile away from the center of Sonoma (which we would have walked to if we hadn't arrived late and thus ended up having to drive to our dinner reservation). The free breakfast in the morning was very nice indeed. Overall, I ended up liking the El Pueblo Inn very much.

My husband and I stayed here at the end of a three week holiday travelling around the US. Unexpectedly, it turned out to be one of our favourites. I would agree with all the good things that have been written about this well run property. They have the comfort of their guests at the centre of what they do and certainly offer more than you would expect to find in a small inn/motel. The housekeeping/ maintenance of the grounds was better than a lot of the upscale places we visited. They don't have a proper restaurant here, although they do offer a pleasant complimentary breakfast. The charming centre of Sonoma is an easy 20 min walk and full of good restaurants. You can rent bicycles from the front desk and cycle to some of the wineries close by or relax beside the well kept pool and small gym area. If you are looking for a place to stay in Sonoma then look no further because I think you should be happy with this delightful place.

Had an awesome stay at this inn. The rooms were really clean, the gardens were beautiful and the amenities were great! Ellie at the front desk was so helpful and nice. She recommended some great wineries and restaurants. We will be staying here next time we visit wine country!
