I really enjoyed staying here. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff was very helpful! THe hotel was walking distance to everything in the town. My only complaint would be that some guests seemed to forget that they were at a hotel and their voices could be heard by other guests. The front desk was very helpful in asking them to be quieter.

My wife and I really appreciated Hadsten House Hotel, it was very affordable, nice clean room, and breakfast included (which was surprisingly good), we stayed Sunday night on a higher room and it was a good choice because the hotel wasn't very crowded and you don't want to listen footsteps in a lower room. The hotel is located just two blocks from Downtown Solvang, we walked to have dinner (as I said very close to the shops and restaurants) and if you want to visit the wineries you'll be there in 15 mins. There's also a market across the street from the hotel where you can find water and snacks. We would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family.

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at Hadsten House. This was a spur of the moment trip for my husband's birthday. I actually tried to book a room at two other hotels in the area, but they were all booked up. So then I remembered Hadsten House and sure enough they had a room available and they even had a special rate for the night, so I booked it. Again, the stay was great and even came with a complimentary breakfast. The food was even better than our last stay. Overall it was a great bargain at $99.00! This is a great place to stay if visiting the Solvang area....conveniently located to all the wineries and restaurants and the Casino!

This spot was a pleasent surprise. Although an Inn and not a five star hotel or resort, we felt that the people behind the Hadsten were trying to convice you otherwise. Very spacious, clean, quite, modern and well decorated. The complimentary breakfast was outstanding and we received incredible service from start to finish. Worth every penny! Also, everything is within walking distance from this place.

Kind of like a high tech motel from the old days. Very quaint and updated Inn that was a great last minute decision. Was up there price wise but was very comfortable and convenient. The kid at the front desk was great and made us reservations at the Hitching Post for a great dinner. I guess the best question is would we go back? If we did we'd stay here.

We spent two nights at this motel. Our overall impression is favorable. The room was nicely decorated, comfortable bed, very clean, with all the amenities. The breakfast was good, fresh and hot. Lovely gardens on property. Location is convenient as well. The negatives: towels so thin I would hesitate to use them for rags, stains on the carpet, a sliding bathroom door that was difficult to move and awkward to use, and noisy plumbing. This motel could rate 5 stars without these negatives.

This hotel could be superb given its location, but is let down by its poor staff and nickel & dime approach to everything.
We booked this hotel for a wedding block of rooms and for post wedding drinks and a Sunday brunch. We spent and directed a lot of money here and hope others do not do the same. Try the Fess Parker in Los Olivos if you can offer it or the Corque (which is part of the same group and had great staff!).

Senior management staff were painful to deal with when organising events and "far too busy" to speak with people spending so much at their hotel. Staff on the front desk did anything to avoid getting off their seats and helping out. Kitchen staff great and friendly but let down by the rest of the team.

Told rooms were clean and tidy but avoid the place for anything other than staying overnight.
