Stayed here in May for anniversary, nice location, friendly staff, easy walking distance into center of town, close to restaurants, Wine bars, and shops. Stayed here for 3 nights, wished we had a few more to stay. Charming rooms with fireplace, comfortable beds, great breakfast and restaurant.(very busy, make dinner reservations). Pool was nice but we ran out of time to use.
we didn't use the car our whole time here, we walked in town, sidewalks and traffic signals so don't worry about crossing the street, Took the community transit bus to Los Olivos for day to tasting rooms (didn't have to drive) and the wine tour the next day picked up at the hotel. At night took cabs to restaurants, hotel staff very helpful in calling and called our room when car arrived. If we took Amtrak and their bus connection to Solvang, we probably wouldnt even had to have a rental car.
