We stayed four days and, although somewhat dated, our room was clean, larger than average and had a very comfortable king sized bed. The pool was adequate and the grounds were nicely landscaped with roses and seasonal flowers. Shopping is great and everything is within walking distance of the Inn.

Except for Danish/German restaurants, of which there are several, Solvang does not boast many establishments featuring the regional cuisine one is accustomed to when visiting California. But that's a nit. One can always find something to eat.

Stayed two nights as part of coastal journey. Room was clean and good size. Pool was small and not very welcoming - towels had to be requested from reception. Hair dryer also on request but no info on this provided at check in. Good main street location but little dining options in Solvang - we had pizza delivery one night which was good. Breakfast provided but don't be hungry.

Everything started out fine until we looked a little closer. We found that the front window of our ground floor room freely slide open. There was no lock. We then found that the bathroom window that looked out onto a street had no screen. Couldn't air out the bathroom after showers without giving a clear view into our room. Great pet friendly motel. Had an off-leash area for our poodle. Good location.

My sister and I stayed Christmas night at the Royal Copenhagen Inn. We found the people very friendly and happy. The room was very clean and well maintained. Table and chairs were right outside the room, so in the morning we enjoyed our coffee and visted with the other guests who were walking their dogs or packing to leave. Dogs are welcome at this hotel, so when we return we will be bring our dogs. This hotel is very clean, very friendly, well maintained and safe. The locaion is great as it is on the main street in Solvang. I recommed this hotel and we will be going back.
