“Great beer - huge plates of food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2014

We sat outside in the sun and had a couple of interesting and tasty beers - then went inside for food. Good ambiance and friendly staff. We ordered a starter to share - nachos described as 'huge' - and had the biggest and best Nachos in history, so much we skipped main course and shared a dessert - again the largest and one of the tastiest puddings! Come hungry.

“Good beer, food not so great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2014

We enjoyed the Odin stout and an IPA, which were served pretty quickly after we ordered. We did have a bit of a wait for appetizers. The spicy tuna roll didn't have much tuna in it and wasn't very tasty. They served it with a white dipping sauce that didn't seem to pair well with the roll. The slider trio had a very nice pork slider. However, the cheeseburger bacon slider was very overlooked and dry. Nice old world pub atmosphere, friendly servers.

While waiting to try to get into our hotel, we ate lunch and had a couple beers. Extremely pleasant server and very tasty food.

“Is a sandwich really that hard?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2014

I was soooo disappointed in this restaurant. There was no soap in the bathrooms, so I asked someone, and they said they'd get right on it. An hour later when we were leaving, there was still no soap. That means if any server went into the women's restroom, she did not properly wash her hands... The booth we sat in was also quite dirty. We sat there waiting for our food for 40 minutes, and I'm not sure why. We didn't order anything special. And there really aren't very many tables here, yet there are servers running around like it's the end of the world. They made me nervous because they seemed SO STRESSED. Then after our food came, I was terribly disappointed with my sandwich (40 minutes for a sandwich?). The turkey was the driest turkey I've ever eaten. I couldn't chew it enough to swallow it, so I spit out my bite into my napkin and just left the rest of the turkey on the plate. Even the bread was so stale it was hard to chew. There were also brown spots on the lettuce. Their sweet potato fries, on the other hand, were delicious. They seem to be more of a beer kinda place, so perhaps the beer is good, but the food blows.

Enjoyed chatting with the bartender, enjoyed some appetizers and drinks. Overall this place is very nice. The food and drinks were solid as was the friendliness of the staff.
