Pamplemousse is probably my favorite restaurant in San Diego. I've never gone wrong with a single dish I've ordered there. I particularly love the fact they have a number of sampler dishes there--great for grazers like myself. Don't miss the game plate, the vegetarian sampler, or the dessert sampler. The wine menu is excellent as well.

While the tongue-in-cheek French country theme (lots of paintings of wildlife, especially pigs) isn't my favorite, I think it works, and it shows the general lack of pretension here.
