Went to dinner at Fidel's last night. Very disappointed with the food and service. I had a chicken burrito and my friend a chimichanga. The food had no flavor and was reminiscent of college cafeteria food--seriously. The chicken looked pulverized and the accompanying rice, beans and salsa tasted like they came out of a can. Too many employees running around and not polished service. They also don't serve pitchers of beer. I've never been to a Mexican restaurant that didn't offer pitchers of beer. Don Chuy's down the street has better and more authentic food, and you can get a pitcher of their good house brew for $10. Even Rudy's taco stand in the same neighborhood has better burrito's for half the price. Can't understand why Fidel's is packed. It's bad Mexican food for ignorant people who probably only care about style (the cute house the restaurant is in) vs substance. Never going back to Fidel's.
