“A view from the top”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012

Not only will you be transported back to the 80's to the top office in the land, you will also be treated to a spectacular view. If you are visiting LA or the surrounding area, take the short drive over the Santa Susanna pass through Simi Valley, then up the long road to the library. Make sure you have the time to see EVERYTHING.

Throughout the year the library may have different exhibits in the main section, but the walk down the East Hall to the Oval Office is nothing short of spectacular. For the one price, you get the privilege to walk over to The Air Force One Pavilion where you will see the very plane used by Reagan.

The Pavilion plays host to many events from weddings, civic events to concerts. However, take to opportunity to walk through Air Force One where you will immediately understand the term of the flying white house. In addition, there is a static Marine One helicopter and a presidential limousine.

Have a bite to eat at the restaurant then take a walk through the garden to the tomb of one of the greatest presidents that ever graced the office. Respectfully, walk around where he is buried. Before you enter the library there is a larger than life stature of the Reagan in his iconic western wear, this is a great place to snap a photo.

“A+ Trip, 2 Excellent Exhibits”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

Hubby and I had heard the Reagan Library was a 'must visit' while we were in the LA Area. We were not disappointed. The library entrance is deceptive as the building holds much more and is very much larger than it first appears.
Two exhibits are currently on display-- the history of Ronald Reagan, and Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives. Mr. Reagan had a long standing friendship with Walt Disney, and was the TV host for opening day ceremonies at Disneyland. The exhibit wove in their tie, and showed a great crossection of early thru current history and movie memorabilia.
The most amazing part of the Reagan exhibit was the 707Airforce One plane and the spectacular setting and view from this very large room. This section of the museum also sports an Irish Pub!
Another cafeteria on the upper floor offered good food and another amazing view if Simi Valley. The gift shop had a good selection of books, Presidential china, quite a wide variety Reagan and Disney related items.
Special commendation must be given to the many Volunteer guides we met, who were well informed, very professional and most personable. It was a most respectful and well run museum.

“Worth the drive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

This Museum is out of the way but worth the drive. It has the 707 AirForce one that Reagan flew while President. This is worth the trip alone. Very nice view and pavillion. I highly recommend.

“CALLING ALL AMERICANS”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

Class from the time you start the drive up the hill to the library. The food in the cafe was very good, the exhibits and footage a delight, and to be on Air Force One a real experience. Plan the whole day here. So good to re-live some of the greatest moments with the Great Communicator. Leave time to explore the lovely grounds.
