“Great Cabin, Great location”

First stay in a KOA resort and what a great experience.

A really warm welcome by the managers Al & Jean Butzine who provided lots of knowledge and tips about things to see and do in Mt. Lassen - all of which we did.

The Cabin was spaceful with room for 4, very clean and great to have a TV! The resort is nice and encompasses a few hiking trails itself but perfectly located for Mt. LAssen (10 minute drive) and Shingletown where we were able to eat and buy groceries (though the KOA shop has sufficient stock of essentials).

If I visit Mt. Lassen again I'll be sure to stay here again and perhaps try out the margin Cabin which looked homely from the outside.

“Very clean, well thought out camp”

We stayed in a deluxe cabin, cabin was very clean and well appointed as was the whole camp, it was very quiet the week before labor weekend, the tent sites looked nice set in trees, the ones next to the road had fences for privacy and each site had a bed of clean straw to soften the floor of your tent, Our cabin was pretty new, the only thing was the bed was a little hard, but there were fans and air-conditioning for the hot weather they have in the summertime. Singleton is just down the road about 15 mins for groceries, they have some groceries on site, and its about 20 minute drive from Lassen Volcanic National Park. The only thing is we are used to free Wi Fi when we stay at KOA's and this one you had to pay for, we did not use it. They had an outdoor family movie the last night we were there, with a good screen and sound system, they also have a heated pool that my son used, and said it was quite warm.
