This was truly an amazing hotel experience. Holiday Inn has been seeking to remove the luxuries and give fundemental comfort to the max. It hardly makes sense. Well, here the facilities were completely fine, including AC and the choice to open large screened windows. Good soundproofing between rooms. The king bed even had both "firm" and "soft" (said the labels) pillows, 2 sets.

Breakfast included was eat-all-you-want of an enormous variety of American foods, including something yellow and prefab in steam trays called "Omlette with chedder chese". I guess the mediocrity of the food brought it down to the expected standards of a Holiday Inn Express--I would NOT complain, I was plenty full when done each day (anyway, I prefer a bagel with herring for breakfast!).

And a nook in the breakfast room holds the computer for easy access to printing out boarding passes. And the rooms have free wireless connectivity.

Special kudos to the front desk staff. They reflect the thoughtful, responsive, high quality of the entire hotel.

My wife was blown away too. By the second day she kept saying this hotel is as good as [a luxury hotel we stayed in last month]. Well, that's a destination hotel resort that has everything, so she exaggerated. But not by much!

On a road trip through northern California, my fiance and I booked a night in the Holiday Inn Express in Sebastopol. We had such a great time in the town, and the hotel was clean and pleasant (especially for the price, $99 in 4/2006). So we decided to stay another night! I will definitely stay there again if I have the chance.

Stayed three nights with husband and two children (9&11). Hotel is located in Sebastopol which is west of Santa Rosa via the 12 Highway. We choose this location to see the surrounding wine country (Napa/Sonoma/Russian River) based on it's quiet location and price.
Pool and jacuzzi were clean and well maintained. We had a King Room with a sofa bed and were happy with how clean and large it was. Breakfast was warm cinnamon rolls, cheese omlets, sausage patties (just like McD's), various cereals, yogurts, apples & bananas, toast, bagals, english muffins and boiled eggs. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate were also offered.
Very happy with the choice as it was a great location to see the surrounding area and was quiet and clean.

Had a wonderful meal at a new Indian Resturant about 1/2 mile north of the hotel - Himalayan Tandoori & Curry House - 969 Gravenstein Hwy. Food is wonderful - different from most Indian as this is northern Indian food. Awesome ice cream was had at "Screaming Mimi's" later on - they make their own!

We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Sebastopol and found the rooms to be clean, staff friendly and enjoyed a quiet stay. We paid a very reasonable rate. Sebastopol is a charming little town with a great seafood restaurant called GTO's Seafood. Oustanding service and food!! The town is a nice place to walk around and visit galleries, shops, etc. The surrounding Sonoma Wine Country is truly beautiful.
