“Overall Good Clean Property”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was professional and courteous. The hotel is ideally situated near many of the California wineries. Pricing for thsi hotel was reasonable. I do agree with other reviewers that the excercise room was small. Breakfast was average, would have liked a little bigger se All in all I would certainly stay here again.

Overall very nice. Got a very good mid-week rate, but on weekends the price doubles. One complaint was the fan for the a/c-heater was very noisy and could not be adjusted to a lower speed. Very nice breakfast is included, as well as wifi.

I travel a lot for business and found this hotel to have a great price at $132 after taxes. It is relatively new and very clean with a very friendly staff. The exercise room is somewhat small but has a few cardio machines. I didn't use it so I don't know if it had free weights, but I suspect not given the size of the room. The hotel location is good if you want a smaller town atmosphere that is relatively close to the freeway and Santa Rosa (larger town). Both are about 10-15 minutes away. You are in wine country so there are grape vineyards nearby adding to the charm of the area. There are 4-5 good options for dining. I went to a brewpub that did a good job, but K & L looks like the best option for finer dining. They have a small dining room and it was packed so I went to the brewpub.
Breakfast at the hotel is done well. They had the standard Marriott fare of yogurt, breads, waffles, an egg dish, fruit and cereal. You should be able to find something.
I would certainly come here again and recommend it to others. I will say that if you are a jogger and like to do that outdoors, the roads around the hotel are fairly busy and not great for a peaceful run. You should probably drive out into the country a bit further.

Room Tip: There are no views and road noise didn't seem to be an issue so room selection isn't a conce...

Stayed here for 1 night on our way down the CA coast from Oregon to San Francisco. Hotel is very nice. Rooms were great. Had a room phone that did not work and the iron did not work. Neither fixed or replaced during our stay. Property was very well landscaped. Pleasant staff and very polite. Breakfast was good!

Stayed here for a conference in San Francisco. A crazy drive but at least the hotel was worth coming back to each evening.

Every things went well. Easy check-in process. Washer/Dryers worked. Treadmill worked great. The place is clean. My room was clean. The internet worked. Everything in the room worked.

In the area there is a Whole Foods and Safeway. The refrigerator worked so no problem keeping food cold.

If you want a good cup of coffee, go to the Ninja Star Coffee Bar. You will be impressed by their service and the quality of their offerings.

Stayed the night after visiting a few cheese farms in Marin/Sonoma County. Very clean rooms and great pool/ hot tub to relax. Breakfast was usual fare but good. Checking in and out was efficient because of the very nice clerk. The hotel is on the main drag Hwy 101 but we heard nothing from our room number 100. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: I don't think there are any bad rooms but off the highway may be quieter. We heard nothing form...

We were looking to book for a weekend of wine tasting in the Russian River and Sonoma area. But being labor day weekend everything was fully booked and those that had some availability were grossly overpriced with poor Tripadvisor Ratings. So we found the Fairfield Inn and expected to stay one night and then upgrade to something grander after Labor Day. The photo of the hotel showing the location on a main road was off putting and probably the main reason were had expected just another roadside motel. Marriott wake up and get a better and more representative publicity shot
But we soon changed our minds. Staff excellent, rooms large and clean, all conveniences, good breakfast included and wifi works!
And location is excellent just on the outskirts of Sebastopol with many wine estates and good restaurants minutes away

Room Tip: probably better facing the garden and pool, but we found it quiet, with easy parking ride by the sid...

bjx25, thanks for your comments, I'm glad to hear our hotel made such a positive impression with you and your family that you decided to stay an extra two days.

The hotel photo you're referring to in your comments "photo of the hotel showing the location on a main road was off putting. . .Marriott wake up and get a better more representative publicity shot." Since I collaborated with the photographer on all our hotel photography, I'd like to say that there is no sugar coating the fact that we are sitting right on the two lane country Hwy 116 as you come in or leave the town of Sebastopol. There's no shame in that for us, infact, that location is what attracted us to build the hotel right there. And yes, we do get some highway noise but not much in the dead of night.

Our location is excellent, as you say, and we are very much a hub to many West County wineries, restaurants(the Barlow and downtown) and attractions. We hope to see you again the next time you're in our area.
