“The ultimate Sonoma County Tasting Room”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2012

This winery is off the main road, people don't just drive by and decide to drop in...it's a destination. After parking you walk up the path to the entrance past a little rivulet of running water that sets the peaceful mood of the place. The interior is spacious with high ceilings and lots of glass to let in the natural light. There is a comfortable place to sit next to a fireplace on a chilly day. Usually the bar is uncrowded giving the servers a chance to talk about the wines, the winery itself, the vineyards and other nearby places to visit or to dine. I have noticed that staff turnover is just about nil. I think young Erin was the last hire. These people know how to please and do it well. There is no sense of push or hurry. As has been said the winess are pricey, but their pinots and chards are all of top quality. The gardener must enjoy his or her work as much as the servers because outside the paths wander through the lushest and most beautiful beds of mixed vigetables and ornamentals imaginable. The sense of peacefulness follows you as you leave.

“Exquisite!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

This is an experience for all the senses! The design of this fabulous building seamlessly merges with the landscape. The glass walls and mitiple outdoor sitting areas are amazing. The wine club assistant manager Erin is a big asset to this family owned winery. Pleasant, knowledgeable, and welcoming. The wine is great, but pricey. You will not be disappointed if you go.

This winery had great wine and it was animal friendly. The grounds were beautiful, and the staff was amazing.

“Beautiful and simply delightful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2012

During our seven week stay in Sonoma County, we visited Lynmar Estates twice. The first time, we began our tasting inside at the bar. The tasting room is sleek and quite modern but very warm nevertheless. Part way through our flight, we decided we simply could not resist sitting outside on the patio: it was one of those absolutely perfect northern California afternoons. We ordered a cheese tray to accompany the rest of our tastings. Oh, yum.
On our next visit, we booked a picnic pairing for us and our friends. Such service! We were seated in a little alcove on the patio, surrounded by the amazing terraced gardens--flowers and vegetables intermixed. Nearly all the items in the basket, from the estate meyer lemon popcorn(we couldn't have imagined anything so unusual and so good!!!) through the salad and sandwich to the lavender cookies, used products and produce from the gardens and orchards. Needless to say the wines were superb. After lunch we walked the grounds, through the gardens, under the fruit trees to the barn to see the chickens-- idyllic. Every employee was friendly and helpful and obviously proud to be working at Lynmar which is dedicated to sustaining the land. We garnered all sorts of information from the gardeners and the workers. One proudly showed us the first egg a particularly pretty hen had laid. It would be difficult to overpraise our experiences.
