“Great Location in Seal Beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2014

This was my first time at this hotel and my husband and I would stay here again. It was very close to Main Street with many cute shops and places to eat. We found parking to be a bit of a challenge on the property, but street parking was available. We would definitely stay here again as the beds were comfortable and the rooms were decent. We look forward to staying here again!

This hotel is about 2 blocks away from the ocean. The rooms are great, with modern finishes. Small microwave and mini fridge. All rooms have a balcony. Pool area was great, with hot tub for soaking after a long day at the beach. Breakfast area is small, about 6 tables, but enough food for everyone, including waffle maker, eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, juices, cereal. They were so accomodating, and provided us beach chairs, boogie boards and water bottles to take to the beach. Very friendly staff. This was our second trip to this hotel. It's a well kept secret at a great location, within walking distance to Main Street for lots of shopping, and the beach.

Room Tip: Our King Bed only had shower, and 2 Doubles had a tub.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. We have taken our son to the Catalina Sea Camp the last couple of years and stayed here before we dropped him off for the week. We really enjoy the atmosphere of the entire Seal Beach area. The hotel is very close to Main Street where all the action is and a few blocks to the beach. We even walked to Church that we found, no need for a car even though they have a nice covered parking area. This year we asked if we could rent a boogie board and some beach chairs to spend some time at the beach and the just loaned us some. It made our visit to the beach much nicer. The hotel is not super luxurious, but very comfortable a good value for what we paid. The pool is nice, but the only things that may need improvement for the value recieved might be the breakfast (the hot breakfast especially is not something I could eat) and the lock on our door and on the pool were tricky to open. Overall a fun place to stay.

This hotel was in a great location. Just a couple blocks from main and a few more to the beach. If you are looking for a luxurious hotel, this is not it. If you are looking for a friendly staff and a clean room in a convenient location, this is definitely it. We had an issue with a clogged toilet but it was resolved very quickly. I was on the 3rd floor and it was mostly quiet but I will warn you that the walls seem to be pretty thin at least where the adjoining room doors are. I could hear some conversation from my neighbors pretty clearly but I assume they were standing by the door. Overall, I had a good experience and would stay there again.

Room Tip: If you like to keep your balcony door open for fresh air, request a back side room, not on Marina Dr...

Thanks for the awesome review! As our property is very old, we are constantly striving to achieve the "luxurious" feel. Any feedback or suggestions are greatly appreciated on how we can improve this factor!

We've been in this hotel for 10 days in October 2012.
Good value for the price paid, nice position (not far from the beach, and not far from the downtown). Rooms are essential but confortables and clean. Breakfast is not full but, not so bad. Nice jacuzzi pools.

It's a mediocre hotel. Nothing luxurious here. But the obviously know that because they go out of their way to make you feel very special and accommodate to your requests. I was put into a junior suite but since I could hear the person above me moving around all the time, they upgraded me to their MASTER SUITE, at no extra charge.
Food choices nearby are not impressive (some small diner and a Taco Bell) but if you're willing to walk towards the ocean for 15 minutes, you'll find a ton of restaurants that pop up. There is no room service. There is a basic complimentary breakfast. Those usually make me sick (the kind where eggs are obviously not eggs, but just yellow mousse texture) but they had fruit and cereal and yogurt options as well.
I came during a week of extreme heat wave, even for California. Over 100 degrees all day long, even in Seal Beach. The air conditioning was great. The bed felt comfortable and large. I will definitely return.

Room Tip: Pay the extra money and get a junior suite.

We wanted somewhere close to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach and reviews about the town of Seal Beach really intrigued me---and after reseaching places to stay we decided on the Pacific Inn and after a delightful one night stay I can definately say we made a great choice.
Spacious rooms with free wifi, Disney Channel, fridge and microwave. Free parking and lovely continental breakfast.(although would prefer hot cooked eggs instead of boiled) There is a lovely spa and pool area in the centre of the hotel---so you are shaded from the elements. There is a free shuttle that will take you and pick you up anywhere within a 5 mile radius of the hotel. We used this service to visit the aquarium and they picked us up right on the prescheduled time for the erturn trip. Wi Fii was a bit sketchy but there is a computer and printer in the lobby which you can use . Coffee was also available in the lobby throughout the day.
We had a room with a small balcony which faced a quiet side street---the onls strange thing was the sliding door into the bathroom---no lock? but this was a minor thing in our great stay---lovely hotel and lovely staff :) We will be back.

Room Tip: Choose a room facing the side streets.
