“Great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2012

Great location for the three block walk to the pier, close to Main Street shops and restaurants, nice atmosphere and comfortable room with nice bed and balcony. Request a room away from the elevator and on the third floor to diminish some of the street noise. Loved the cookies most evenings when the staff put them out in the lobby as well as the automatic Starbucks coffee machine in the lobby! Continental breakfast is well put together and opens early, even on weekends. Nice covered parking at street level under the hotel. Loved the feel of this hotel for my ten days on business recently.

We decided to stay in this hotel for our short visit because we knew of it's location. As former residents of Seal Beach, we knew that this was closest to Main street and the Pier. This time we had 2 kids in tow and were very surprised to be able to get the Family Suite. This was basically a living room with a sofa and 2 chairs, table, TV, Balcony adjoined to a large bedroom with 2 beds. While one part of the room seemed outdated, the bathroom was remodeled along with some other pleasant accents. Overall, the room was perfect for a toddler and a crawler.
We also enjoyed the small pool, which was great for the kids, and it was not crowded either. The breakfast buffet was a plus as well with a variety of options ranging from fresh fruit, bagels, make-your-own waffle, muffins, and even some microwaveable products...and of course tea and coffee.

My only complaint was that our room was not ready when we came, and we were told by one rep it would be 45min. So we came back, and were told again that it would be another 45 min, since they were so busy this weekend. But the up side was that they let us check out later as well.

Overall, the staff was helpful, and the place was clean and well maintained. We would stay there again if we come to visit our old neighborhood.

Room Tip: If you are with kids, ask for the Family Suite.

The Pacific Inn Seal Beach is in a class by itself with regard to ambiance, amenities, comfort, and service. From check-in to departure, feel like family who treated as honored guests. For the past number of years The Pacific Inn has been the go-to destination when out-of-town visitors arrive--grandchildren enjoy short walk to the beach and strolling Main Street. Also organized a memorable class reunion there; as a result, folks have made return visits to this premier destination hotel-- 'tis a favorite getaway spot!

Great location! Kid friendly! Great walking location. The beach a little far to carry a lot of gear but close enough to walk to. Beds are super comfy! Close driving distance to Long Beach. They offered great prices for aquarium tickets. The pool was enjoyable and the perfect size to watch a fearless 6 year old swim. Overall my family really enjoyed our stay there and would stay there again in the future.

Loved it! It had been overdue for us to get to the beach and this was "just what we needed". One of our goals is to park the car and not need it again till we leave. That goal was met. A short walk to the beach then over to Main St. to enjoy Walt's Wharf, Hennessey's and the little bakery (great brownies). We spent some time at the pool and spa. Very quiet location. We even had breakfast on our balcony. We hated to leave. We'll be back to The Pacific Inn.

We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel in a quiet area from which we could access the beaches to the south (which were packed with people and expensive hotels). The Pacific Inn was just such a place. Located in a quite residential area of the very attractive City of Seal Beach, this hotel is close to everything, but also an oasis of calm. It is only a short walk to the beach or Main Street with many eateries. It has free, mostly covered parking. The room was fine with a small balcony. The continental breakfast was adequate. The staff were very friendly and helpful. When we went into LA, Long Beach or hit the busy beaches to the south, it was good to kick back in Seal Beach at the Pacific Inn.

Room Tip: The sounds from the pool can echo a bit - so the quieter rooms are down the hall.

We usually go to Seal Beach to celebrate our anniversary each year, and we stay at the Pacific Inn. It allows us to walk around town and the pier and eat at our favorite restaurants like Walt's Wharf. But it's also close to Long Beach and Laguna Beach's Sawdust Festival. Very friendly staff, nice room and a complimentary breakfast. We also like to sit in the ocean air on the room's balcony. Very nice hotel.
