“Good local choice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

This is a local restaurant for us and we have eaten at it many times. Our favorite location for dinner is the bar followed by the outdoor tables in the summer. The bar service is generally excellent; friendly and efficient. The food is very good without being outstanding with the Bucatoni and Polpettone being excellent. The menu is not very large but the selection is more than adequate. The food prices are reasonable value for money, the wine is on the expensive side with a typical glass costing around $10. Our typical meals costs us around $100 for two people.

“Beautiful, refreshing and happy time had all around”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

I took a city tour bus from San Francisco on a lark, and stopped in Sausalito to look around. I ended up staying in the town for a week - it's that beautiful. One of the reasons had to be this restaurant. Great vibe, and the service is beyond good - the staff is helpful with not only dining suggestions, but with tips about the town and what you should see. Back to the food.........too good, the selections were fresh, tasty and show the care and devotion that have clearly gone into the prep. I had a few lunches and dinners there, and I can say each was different but all were excellent - true taste sensations, the wines were perfectly paired, and I could have greedily continued eating but I did have a budget and waistline to watch.

“Excellent Sausilito Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

When visiting relatives in Sausalito we ate dinner here. It is high end and expensive (although no more so than other fine dining close by). The food was well worth it. We had a party of five and shared tastes around the table. Everything was fresh and delicious. I was especially fond of the cauliflower mousse. The service was also excellent, I'm sure it helped that our relatives are frequent diners here.

“food with a view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

Very trattoria, even the water had an Amalfi aroma, but with booths. Our dinner was decidedly organic and the waiter assured us that the greens were locally grown. Good wine selection. The paste and sauce was superb, almost better than in most places along the Amalfi coast....

“Exceptional food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

We had our late lunch at Poggio and it was amazing! The food was fresh and taste incredible, heard the owner actually grows some of the vegetables himself. The kids love their dish as well. The service was great, totally awesome! Must try the swordfish...yum!
