4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

There were 6 of us, who went to lunch, and each one of us thought this was a great place, not only was what we ordered, perfect, but the service was outstanding, We have recommended this place to others, and they were equally as satisfied. Check it out for yourselves, you wont be disappointed.

“We actually drove a hour to get here?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

Unimaginably uninteresting menu. Food mediocre. Service was far worse, the waiter was rude, unhelpful and possibly drunk or high. Never got dessert we ordered nor pot of hot water. All in all nothing about the place makes it worthwhile.

remember what I had: the bone marrow was somewhat an adventure but I didn't regret having pulled together all my courage.

“Great Views AND Great Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

Murray Circle is the restaurant at Cavallo Point, a hotel/resort that was created on the Ft Baker grounds, just on the Marin side of the Golden Gate Bridge. I have eaten in all of their venues (bar, dining room, private dining room), but my favorite is a Sunday Brunch or any day lunch time meal on the veranda overlooking San Francisco Bay and skyline. Blankets and heaters are available on cooler days making it a lovely cosy experience any time of year. And quite remarkably for a location of this much beauty, the food is excellent. A very well conceived brunch/unch menu with daily fresh fish, wonderful salads and sandwiches, a burger to die for, and the best bagels and lox I've had this side of Brooklyn. Dinner has a broad choice of fish, fowl, and quadruped entrees as well as lovely and creative first courses. Specials are always worth having at least one person at the table order it. Wine list is extensive and, as you might expect, pretty pricey. But you're paying a bit extra for the view.

“Could be a movie set!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

Imagine a CLEAR rainy night in Marin - where to go? The Farley Bar/Murray Circle in Cavallo Point! Four of us had movie tickets in Sausalito for 7:15 - therefore it was easy to sit out on the lovely porch. The setting couldn't have been better for four mom's who needed a night out! We sat at a corner table outside a window which allowed us to admire the Murray Circle restaurant - lit with candles and a beautiful fire going. We got to enjoy a clear and perfect view of the Golden Gate Bridge and city. The porch dining is full service, with over head heat lamps, cozy seating and they offer guests lovely blankets to help keep you warm. It was becoming super blustery out there - we felt like we were on a movie set - it was fun, and festive with the other guests laughing about the craziness of sitting out in bad weather (which can really pick up down there) but we hunkered down and get cozier. Cocktails fantastic - the food was delicious and beautifully served. I'm gluten and dairy free - the chef was so concerned I wouldn't enjoy my burger (without a bun and cheese!) but he was wrong it was still great! Luckily only two of us ate and enjoyed the duck wings... OMG a must try! We shared oysters, a charcuterie platter, grilled shrimp (a little teeny tiny dish btw) a gorgeous heaping bowl of mussels and truffled fries. Everything was super - we wanted to pack up our delightful waiter and bring him to the movie with us!
This venue has it all - if it's too cold outside for you then pop into the lively Farley Bar or the quieter restaurant Murray Circle just inside the "house."
