“Could be a movie set!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

Imagine a CLEAR rainy night in Marin - where to go? The Farley Bar/Murray Circle in Cavallo Point! Four of us had movie tickets in Sausalito for 7:15 - therefore it was easy to sit out on the lovely porch. The setting couldn't have been better for four mom's who needed a night out! We sat at a corner table outside a window which allowed us to admire the Murray Circle restaurant - lit with candles and a beautiful fire going. We got to enjoy a clear and perfect view of the Golden Gate Bridge and city. The porch dining is full service, with over head heat lamps, cozy seating and they offer guests lovely blankets to help keep you warm. It was becoming super blustery out there - we felt like we were on a movie set - it was fun, and festive with the other guests laughing about the craziness of sitting out in bad weather (which can really pick up down there) but we hunkered down and get cozier. Cocktails fantastic - the food was delicious and beautifully served. I'm gluten and dairy free - the chef was so concerned I wouldn't enjoy my burger (without a bun and cheese!) but he was wrong it was still great! Luckily only two of us ate and enjoyed the duck wings... OMG a must try! We shared oysters, a charcuterie platter, grilled shrimp (a little teeny tiny dish btw) a gorgeous heaping bowl of mussels and truffled fries. Everything was super - we wanted to pack up our delightful waiter and bring him to the movie with us!
This venue has it all - if it's too cold outside for you then pop into the lively Farley Bar or the quieter restaurant Murray Circle just inside the "house."

“Good food & Beautiful setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

This is a very special place. From the moment you walk into the place to the last meal tidbit. It is ................just so special. The food was great good service and the environment is very inviting. I also always appreciate when I am not overwhelmed by lots of noise. It doean't matter where you sit, you feel as though you are dining just with you campanions as opposed to having to shout over the dine of the restaraunt noise. The chef changes the selections by the season so it is difficult to say what I like best, but the bone marrow is fab, so are the desserts.

“First class!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

We went as a large group (14) and sat in a private room. I'll never forget that each course was delivered by 14 staffers, each one standing behind one of us and setting our plates down at exactly the same time. The "show" was matched by the food, which was incredible.

“Too inconsistent for one Michelin star”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

I have had two recent meals here. One was of very good quality; the other a disaster. The bad meal suffered from misuse of the salt shaker on many of the dishes. Although the plates were well conceived, the excess salt made them nearly inedible. Moreover, on this occasion, service was terribly slow. This is far from the standards that I associate with one Michelin star.

“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

i thought the food was excellent. the menu was carefully thought out with local and seasonal ingredients. the chef came out to meet each table, and my waiter was attentive and knew the menu well. the tasting menu sounded good but was too much food. Had the chocolate tasting for dessert, and it, too, was excellent, especially the pomegranite ice cream.
