Gervais is a combination of elegance, charm and wonderful French cuisine. The atmosphere is both warm and welcoming. The food is rich and inviting. The service is attentive. We started with Martini's before dinner at the stylish bar and a visit with two of the owners who made us feel as though we were welcome guest in their home. Each course shined. We started with a torchon of moulard duck foie gras with fresh fruit confits and toasted brioche and escargot in a butter, garlic sauce. The flavor combinations burst with flavor. Second course was asparagus cream soup which was lite, delicate and flavorful. For the main course I had the rack of lamb in a mint infused jus, with wild mushroom ragout and my husband had the braised rabbit in red wine sauce. Both were classic French with complex flavors and deep, rich sauces. We ended with a French crepe in a rich orange, butter sauce.
If you want a dining experience which is special yet unpretentious Gervais is the place!
