WORST hotel experience in 10 years!

Terrible customer service. Mean mgmt team of 70+ year old husband/wife. We'd checked in 3 days ago and they thought "we tried to skip out on the bill"...umm, we're at a sales offsite training for the next 3 days.

Could not believe this was happening. We're from out of town and it's 10:30pm our stuff is already in our respective rooms, we didn’t want to go somewhere else for one night (we both leave tomorrow). They charged me 300% more than I originally booked. Then only voided when I voiced [serious] concern. ------ DOUBLE CHECK FOR MESS UPS ON YOUR CHARGES.

I said, "I've never been treated so terribly in 10 years of business travel. Why are you being such a monster to us? This was your error in operations. Don't you know the customer is always right? Especially in the service industry."

After admitting it was their error in judgment about the payments/processing reservations, still treated myself and my colleague this way; and did NOT apologize. And witch-cackled through talking to me about my issue with his wife.

I have never been to a more disgusting place. These people are so wretched. Wow. THERE ARE ALSO BUGS.

I have never been treated so poorly, it's hard to explain. Managers are horrible and should NEVER work in the service industry ever again. And, by the way, there's a daddy long leg spider above the mirror. And, a spider web.

There are TONS of other hotels with the same rate rooms in Saratoga.

It was great, from beginning till end. The managers were wonderful. I spent 6 nights there. I met the owner's son and daughter and they were sweet people. The manager Darrell and his wife Karen were great. The place was well kept up and clean. I love it there. Breakfast was great too. I will return there in a heart beat. Saratoga was wonderful.

Should you be fortunate enough to visit this World centre of excellence for all things electronic or are merely touring this beautiful part of California, a place to recover from your days exertions is The Oaks Lodge Hotel in Saratoga village. Saratoga village in its own right is a delightful place to visit and has a history going back to the 1800's. The main street has many interesting shops, local wine tasting bars and a number of good restaurants, at night with its sparkling lighting is a visual joy and it's minutes away from the shopping malls and supermarkets should these be of interest. To the north, San Francisco is less than an hours drive away and Monterey with its wonderful aquarium (not to be missed) is an equal distance to the South, both of which must somehow be included in any schedule.
The Oaks Lodge is a 'home-from-home' hotel set in a tranquil setting amidst the trees in the centre of Saratoga, 'it is not your typical US Motel'. There are a variety of rooms to choose from, all are spacious, clean and adequately equipped mine was and very comfortable to stay in. Breakfast is a self-serve pleasure which you can use at your leisure. The real benefit of staying at The Oaks Lodge is the peace and quiet that ensures you can get a good nights rest before embarking on the next days adventure.

We stayed at the lodge for two nights in room 9. The room was clean and smelled good (no tobacco smoke smell). The carpets were a little worn, but the towels were new.

We would stay here again. It is very close to the heart of Saratoga. Everything is just steps away.
