“Come hungry”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Good, old fashioned coffee shop frequented by lots of locals. Good hearty breakfast. Fast service. If you are hungry and like a good old fashioned breakfast or lunch, this is the place.

“Down home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

The Longhorn is the best "down home" breakfast and lunch house in the Santa Ynez Valley. I was a regular customer at the location during the eight years I both lived and ran a business in the historic Western township of Santa Ynez. Anyone interested in "local" life and people should stop by and enjoy the food, meet Mike, the owner, and talk with Kapri, the manager. Good food; good people.

“A real western breakfast coffee shop that needs an inspection.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2011

I''m one who want's a breakfast most of all. I also like to be close to watch a cook or chef prepare the meal. Here you can sit at the bar facing the cook. You will see it all if you care.
Gone here very early before hunting or before putting on volunteer events. The high school seniors often come before school. Probably the best known coffee shop in the valley.
A real real simple menu. You know, omelettes with a slight crust on 'em.
Anyway, a real good man owner. I simply would like the county health dept. to give it the once over. I don't eat here anymore after watching the last meal prep. The employees need to get their butts in gear and scrub from ceiling to floor in the food cooking area.

“Small, friendly and rustic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2010

Had a fantastic chorizo breakfast burrito, "right-sized" not a freaking football burrito, excellent flavor, great coffee, friendly staff, and inexpensive to boot.
