“Grappoling”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

We have eaten at this restaurant twice over the last 5 months and have had wonderful experiences each time. Food is well prepared and seasoned, and the service is polite and prompt. I'm not generally fond of pasta but I am here. The sauces used on the fish plates can be over-buttered, but it is cooked so well, and the sauce so rich, creamy and tasty that it's hard to resist. Don't miss a meal at this quaint little restaurant in Santa Ynez, then take a stroll past the Victorian-looking Santa Ynez Inn. Highly recommended!

“Best in the County”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

It is worth the drive from Santa Barbara all the way to Santa Ynez to eat here! If you want the best home-made Italian food this is the place. Try their pumpkin ravioli or home made soups. WOW!! The food is prepared fresh using locally grown produce & ingredients. This is a genuine family (& a truly wonderful family at that) Italian restaurant but it is also THE place to enjoy good food, good wine and good company in the valley.

“Delicious Italian Cuisine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

We had a charming waiter who gave us very honest advice about the menu. ("don't order the stuffed calamari he said") We started with Rollino Venneto, a stuffed pizza of smoked mozzarella and radicchio. For entrees my friends ordered sausage and beans, I had the pork chop. Very large portions, I ended up having it for lunch on the train the next day (with my fellow passengers wondering where I had ordered!) Our waiter brought the chef out and followed that with an unexpected, but delicious desert of flourless chocolate cake, still warm from the oven.
Beer and Wine only.

“good but not consistent”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

The food and service greatly varies. Often it is superb, but if there are any celebrities present, you may as well expect sub-par service. I only go here if I don't really want to hear the other person-it is very noisy!

“So yummy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

Very traditional Italian food. Remember to make a reservation! We went at opening 5pm on a Wednesday and it was getting crowded!
The food and service were fantastic!
