“Cheap, clean stay!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012 via mobile

Stayed for one night while on a tour of local breweries. I did not notice any problems with the management as others have posted. The lady at the front desk was very polite. We got a room in the right back corner. Rooms are very spacious with a stove, oven, and mini fridge. No micro. Traffic was loud until about midnight and again around five am. Walls were thin. I would say if you needed a place to stay for a while, the kitchen would be A bonus. Price was the cheapest I found prior to visiting, not counting the slum motels downtown. Would reccomend to anyone needing a cheap extended stay not far from downtown nightlife.

“Great place in a great location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012 via mobile

What a lovely surprise this Inn was. My boyfriend and I decided to stop in based on reviews we found on trip advisor. We needed a place to crash before heading to Sonoma and Napa valley the next day. Had great service, great price and was quiet and quaint! Would definitely stay here again when in town an would recommend to anyone to stop in! A little outdated interior, but clean and cozy!

“Anger Management!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2012

We had a reservation at the Hillside Inn for August 25th for one night, thank god! We entered the parking lot near the Lobby and heard what sounded like a business alarm going off. So we entered the Lobby and found no one at the front desk. All of a sudden the owner which I learned a bit later came flying into the lobby cussing and tossed his cell phone against the wall. We looked at each other in shear shock. He was a bit out of control. I asked are you the owner and his response was yes!He needs to take an Anger Management class NOW before he does something violent! WOW! We didn't know weather to stay or look for another place. Being there was a marathon going on in town we decided to stay. The property was well maintained but we entered the room it look like something from the 70's or 80's. Just a little updating could bring this guy a lot more business. Toss the tired bedspreads and use a duvet, Get those old dated pictures off the wall and spring for a wall mounted flat screen TV. It wouldn't cost much. I believe motel 6 or one of the lower end motels are a bit more modern. It's 2012 get with the program!

Room Tip: Our room was around $100, I think I'd look for another place!

“Decent and economical”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

We spent the night at Hillside Inn in Santa Rosa after attending a wedding. If you're looking for an economical, clean, and convenient place to stay, then this is it. No frills - no coffeemaker in the room but who cares - there are cafes and coffeeshops a minute away. This place is not super close to Hwy 101 but it only takes a few minutes to get there. Plenty of conviences, shopping, restaurants, and most importantly: wine country!

Room Tip: We stayed upstairs - I imagine it's quieter.

“Almost no complains”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012 via mobile

Rooms are nice, but a little bit old, but not that shabby kind of old, it's clean... Looks like my grandmas place. Pool area is nice but directly next to the highway...
Overall it is a very good budget stay for a night or even longer....
