“Comfy & Cozy, Great Value, Excellent Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2011

My wife and I stayed at the Flamingo Conference Resort & Spa on November, 29, 2011 while visiting friends in the Sonoma County area. Although not the most beautiful from the exterior, the room was cozy and comfy and more than I expected. Very clean and the king bed with down comforter was a nice touch. On Tuesday and Wednesday night, they have a Filet Mignon and shrimp combo for $14.95. AWESOME! For breakfast, I had eggs benedict with hash browns for $10.50. AWESOME! Liked having the CVS Pharmacy right across the street in walking distance. Good value for price of the room. Good place to stay.

The front desk staff - esp. Lisa - was very friendly. She upgraded us to a suite - the room is very clean, updated and has nice decor. Very comfortable beds and the internet is free too. Even though the hotel is old, they have very nicely renovated. Highly recommend.

We stayed on our wedding night and were given a free upgrade. I went to the hotel when my father was in town visiting when I was a child. It is clean and well laid out. Really nice room with good view of central expansive courtyard and swimming pool. The swimming pool wasn't heated (during the winter), which makes a lot of sense from an environmental standpoint; it is a big pool. There is a heated lap pool for use that is part of the club. There is also a big outdoor jacuzzi by the pool. Very nice. I polar bear-ed it in the pool. Felt the tightening of tendons in my armpits as I paddled about. Very invigorating. Delicious endorphins. My bride is super sweet too....but what was I saying?
Also, it is in a good location, near HWY 12, but quiet. Near Montgomerey village shopping. Good staging for heading to Sonoma or to downtown Santa Rosa. A mile? from Howarth Park which connects to Spring Lake Park and Annadell.

I would like to express my appreciation to the front desk staff and management of the Flamingo Resort for making our stay at the Flamingo very enjoyable. This Thanksgiving, at the urging of our son, we stayed for the first time at the Flamingo Resort. We were very impressed. The room was very comfortable. The shower easy to access. Pricing was also reasonable. They have won us over.

The front desk staff was extremely helpful, especially Lisa and Ruth, accommodating our needs and inquiries. Gave us tips on local attractions. The Sunday champagne brunch was top notch! Clean, comfortable, quiet rooms.

Room Tip: We found The Flamingo through Hotwire and got a great price.

Booked our stay at the Flamingo as part of a vacation package to wine country. Was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. It's a bit outdated but clean nonetheless. Our concierge, Lisa was fantastic. She have us tips and coupons on various wine tastings, which was very much appreciated.

Rooms are a bit outdated. Beds were fine. Continental breakfast was free but a bit redundant after 4 days. Your stay grants you access to the adjoining health club, which I do not think is owned by the Flamingo, but is pretty nice. If you're on a budget, this isn't a bad place to stay. About 25 minutes outside of Napa!

We traveled to the Sonoma Region as part of a wine country package with another couple,at the end of October. We could see the pink flamingo atop the building,as we drove up and were not quite sure what to expect-perhaps, the Rat Pack. Were we ever pleasantly surprised. We were greeted by Lisa who was warm and very knowledgeable of the area. She was able to get us two adjacent rooms so we could enjoy our patios together at the end of a day of winetasting. She also made some excellent restaurant and sight-seeing recommendations. Our rooms were comfortable, roomy and clean. The hotel itself has very nice amenities (pool, restaurant, manicured grounds, and access to a fitness center). The location was perfect. We were a short drive from the prime vineyards and the activities in town. The Manager Tony was wonderful, as well AND it was a bonus that he had traveled to our neck of the woods in Michigan. We enjoyed our stay at the Flamingo and would definitely stay there again. These days, it is very hard to find the caliber of quality well-trained staff and customer service that seem to be the "norm" at the Flamingo.
