“Good Hilton Choice in Santa Rosa”

Hilton staff does a fine job here. Large, sprawling old style hotel. Workout room is a compromise to be sure, but rooms are pleasant enough. The morning dining experience was awkward as they only offered ala carte. Dont quite get that and we ended up being late as a result. Waitress spilled milk on my client...rough start to day. But, night before we enjoyed a glass of wine on a splendid terrace with heat lamps well positioned. It is located well, just of 101. Easy in and out. good views from terrace.

This is a very attractive property that feels like an island experience. We were very pleased, although there were a few 'cheap' touches (have to pay for in-room internet, etc.) that does not befit a nice chain like Hilton.

As a business traveller and Hilton Honors member I stay at a Hilton hotel about 35 times a year so I am pretty familiar with their overall quality. This Hilton is the worst I have ever stayed at by a long shot. In "quick" summary: Horrible Front Desk service (made we wait 15 mihutes to check in at 3am while their computer synched up. Tried to charge me more than I was quoted when I reserved the room via phone an hour earlier) and follow-through (promised to provide breakfast vouchers with my invoice during the overnight - neither of which were ever recieved), dirty room (bathroom countertop, mold around shower, pubic hairs and all - and not mine!), noisy (both through the walls and worse through the floors above and from the cleaning staff), nasty view of some construction storage bin from my room and just down-right creepy for a Hilton-grade hotel. The rooms are low-priced for a reason so don't be fooled by the "Sonoma Wine Country" title else you could ruin a perfectly good vacation plan by staying at this poorly run dump. I'd say this Hotel is better suited for Route 50 through Nevada but I think that would be insulting to Route 50. The only reason I don't rate this hotel as Terrible is because I actually got some limited sleep and didn't see any live critters walking around my room. Individually, any one of these mistakes might be excusable, but together they smack of poor mgt and an unmotivated staff.

Whenever I have a last minute trip that I need to go on and don't have time to do much research, I stay at Hilton because I know that I will get a comfortable room and maybe a few surprises. The surprises are usually in respect to their staff, who are usually what make the difference for me. This trip a last minute getaway to Wine Country. I got what I expected,but nothing more. The room was ok. The staff was pleasant, but not very knowable of wine country. The suggestions were stock names of supermarket wine. When I asked for something out of the ordinary, I got a blank stare. However, they did redeem themselves by the end as the attentive cleaning staff who found my leather jacket that I had left in my closet before checking out. It was delivered to the front desk within five minutes. I was two exits away. By the time I got back, it was waiting for me.

This is a good hotel in a great location, right smack in the middle of Sonoma wine country. If they amp up the rooms and educate their staff, it could be great.

I was impressed with how well maintained this hotel is. Amenities are in good condition, rooms are kept up as well. Have to pay additional for internet, etc. but that is normal for Hilton and Marriott's. Based on our experience this time, I would recommend.

I write this from a room at the Sonoma Wine Country Hilton that looks clean but smells otherwise. The terrible smell of Mildew in room 2716 is so overwhelming that we must keep the window open and listen to children screaming in the pool at almost 10:00 pm. We stay in hilton properties all over and while this one looks okay, the smell is so bad we will stay at the newer and reliable Hampton in down the road next time.

Stayed here for a night. The hotel is in a nice, quiet location, close to the highway. The room looks a bit old, but it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Our room faced the parking lot and, given that the hotel was fully booked, we anticipated some noise, but was pleasantly surprised to find out that we were wrong. It was nice and quiet throughout the evening and night. The fitness center was well equipped, clean, and in a good location (right by the pool). We didn't use the pool/hot tub, but it looked inviting and the people using it seemed to enjoy it.
