While we didn't see the ghost, our stay of two nights was a pleasant experience. We like historic hotels and the location of Hotel La Rose in Santa Rosa's historic railroad district brought the added bonus of access to a number of good restaurants. We were visiting family in Santa Rosa at the beginning of a two-week trip to Oregon. The staff was friendly and the facility well cared for. We arrived in a heat wave and the second day, the A/C was matched and could not keep the room cooler than about 80 degrees. Only downside to our stay. Santa Rosa tends to be over priced due to its wine country location so the $170 we paid seemed to be a good value.
