“Great Room!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2014 via mobile

I could not believe the size of my room! If you need/like a large room, I doubt you will find bigger. I did not pace it out but I guess 15 x 30. The site is five minutes to downtown Santa Rosa, right next to the nation's highest ranked J.C. My only beef is that they charged me more Than I thought I had arranged thru Expedia. My fault for not nailing it down when I changed the starting night. Zero complaints about the room and location.

Don't be fooled by the name or the picture of this place; it is neither an inn or an hotel. Instead it is a typical 1950's style motel. The price of $147/night is high for what is offered. The rooms are very basic but clean. An unpleasant surprise was that the walls are so thin that you can hear everything going on in the room next to you; at 4 am this is no fun. It is inconvenient if you want to go downtown, but is very close to the Junior College.

My wife and I stayed here last night so she could attend a professional meeting in downtown Santa Rosa. The North Bay Inn is conveniently located within an easy drive to downtown Santa Rosa. Also, there are several very good restaurants within a 5 minute walk of the Inn. The Inn is quite reasonably priced for Santa Rosa, and it is fairly quiet since it is not adjacent to Highway 101. It is clean and located in a good neighborhood.

Room Tip: The rooms in back of the Inn are quieter because they are the furthest away from Mendocino Avenue tr...

Stayed here last weekend with a few friends. This motel is overpriced but then again all motels and hotels in this area are overpriced!. Paid $135 for a one night stay for two people. Rooms were basic but clean. Motel is about 5-10 minutes drive away from downtown. They had a breakfast with packaged danish pastries, coffee and orange juice.

We stayed here twice and both times enjoyed our stay. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is a typical motor hotel setup, but the rooms are large, comfortably furnished, and very clean. Also it is very quiet.

I was in Santa Rosa on some business and stayed at this motel. Very basic rooms, no frills, Motel 6-ish in my opinion. Got my reservation on Expedia. Easy check in, check out. The manager wasn't the most friendly, but I wasn't there to make friends with him, just give me my keys. No problems, but clearly an older property. Doubt I'll be back.

A typical old-style basic motel at twice the price of the usual budget motels. No real issues other than the value. There are some very good restaurants within walking distance and the location is good.
