“It's a shame. Italian Affair, you rank supreme.”
We had eaten at LoCoco's once before and the experience was fairly good. Ambiance...very much like in Italian trattorias....really good food, noisy and demonstrating some of the memories we had while in Italy. However, this time....we won't go back at all. We had reservations for 8pm, they didn't seat us until 8:40pm. They did have a table in the front that was made of two small tables and could've put us there at 8:15, however, the hostess said that she wanted us to have a warmer table, wonder if it had to do with the fact that there were 2 couples of two people that could sit there, instead of the 5 of us? It wasn't the warmest night and we were all quite cold and hungry. The hostess came out several times to tell us that we'd be seated shortly as people were leaving. After about 4 times of this, the frustration was growing. When we did sit, it was at a table with a dirty tablecloth. When we mentioned it to the waitress, she said she could seat us at another table, but clearly wasn't happy to do so. The manager did come up as one of our party got quite angry and said he would "look into" why the tablecloth was dirty. How about looking into why it took so long to seat us? Needless to say, he never came back. The appetizer took over 30 minutes to arrive. To top it off, we weren't even offered a small break on our bill for the inconvenience or worse yet, an apology. Sorry to ramble but I'm still very displeased with experience. We have never had a problem at the Italian Affair. Another local eatery that is consistent in its treatment of customers and excellent food. Sit in the front though as the back can be a bit noisy.
