Who is writing these reviews? I thought this hotel was gross. Very outdated and a super rude staff. A woman with brown hair at the desk check in was so obnoxious that I left and checked into the ramada next door.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I guess motel accomodations are in the opinion of the traveler. I found the Sandman Motel in Santa Rosa, CA to be a good value. My room was clean, quiet and it should be noted that the motel was full every night I stayed there. The complimentary breakfast bar was very good and I was impressed that there was an attendant that was constantly cleaning up and assisting motel guests. There is a nice pool and the Carrows Restaurant that is adjacent to the property was very convienent. I would recommend this motel if you are looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay in Santa Rosa.

Planned for two nights but left after one. Room was old, had chemical cleaning smell and the water tasted terrible. Old place, reminded me of a 60's motel.

II was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this motel. We were worried that it would be sold out because it was Thanksgiving weekend, but they had plenty of rooms.

Check in was a breeze - they easily accommodated our requests to have the top floor and two beds. The clerk (owner?) was very friendly.

The Sandman has nice touches like small waterfalls and wooden animal sculptures throughout. The grounds are very pleasant; and the pool and jacuzzi area also looked enticing and well-maintained. I was pleased with the fitness room and the many selections of breakfast items (including waffles!) in their complimentary breakfast room.

The room looked AND smelled VERY clean - which is a rare thing to find in a motel. Our room came with a small refrigerator and a coffeemaker - the usual essentials for a good overnight stay.

I am a VERY picky hotel/motel guest and at the price of $85 a night this was a VERY pleasant surprise! I am definitely staying there again.
