“Outstanding Value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

Booked two nights here on Hyatt points. Due to the high season, could only confirm 2 queen beds. Upon arrival, a very nice surprise by Chris at the Front Desk. We had been upgraded to a beautiful king suite. Excellent room overlooking gardens. Even though the freeway is close, the windows completely knock out any road noise -- and the bonus is it's close to jump on the freeway rather than being jammed up trying to get to it.

Chris at the front desk was unbelievably profession, fast and personable. He is an excellent first face to see upon arrival. Recommended a great steak restaurant which turned out to be a prizewinner.

Room was large, QUIET, clean, very updated and worth the money if, in fact, I had actually paid real money.

I would highly recommend this as a great location for "back to SF" or a quick entrance into Sonoma.

As a separate note, having just spent two nights in a $1,000/night room at The Lodge at Pebble Beach, it was very nice to check into a hotel with air conditioning which is not available at the Lodge. It was much appreciated to sleep comfortably.

Stayed here two nights in September 2013. Good size room overlooking the courtyard, nice size bathroom and room facilities. Comfortable beds. In-room safe. Were told wifi was chargeable. Complementary wifi in lobby. Breakfast available in the Brasserie for reasonable prices. Only negative, room windows were dirty on the inside - lots of finger marks. Helpful staff including one who helped us find somewhere to eat away from the hotel as we wanted to dine downtown, and one who told us about pre-paying the Golden Gate Bridge Toll so the car rental company wouldn't charge us an exorbitant fee. Hotel is convenient for downtown eating and shopping including Santa Rosa Mall. Parking can be difficult if there are events going on at the hotel.

Room Tip: Courtyard view nice and away from traffic.

This hotel is in a good location just off the I5 and very close to downtown Santa Rosa where there are some really nice restaurants which are very easy to walk to.

We arrived at the hotel just as a wine conference was beginning and parking was impossible. We circled the car park with a host of other cars before parking in the 15 minute check in spaces. The reception staff said this was fine and to give it an hour or so when the car park should start to empty. There clearly aren't sufficient parking spaces for hotel guests and conference delegates.

We had a room upgrade so were given a lovely large room with a nice sitting area and sizeable bathroom. The only thing that would have made the room perfect was free wifi which didn't seem to be available in the lobby area either.

We didn't try the pool but it looks nice and the courtyard with the fire bowl looked like a lovely place to sit in the evening.

We were just here a couple nights to visit my grandmother who lives in Healdsburg about 20 minutes away. The facilities and room were nice and comfortable, although the jacuzzi was not functioning correctly and was only lukewarm.

Very clean and reasonable. Walking distance to restaurants. Spent the evenings around the fire pit sharing the days events. Feel free to bring a bottle of wine, the staff is happy to provide wine glasses and open bottles. Great fun!

This is a beautiful resort type of hotel set in lovely gardens, but within minutes of the highway and very easy to find. It is in the wonderful wine region, and only about an hour north of San Francisco.
We were pleased with the room, dinner and breakfast, but especially with the service.
Our hire car refused to start in the morning, and the receptionist was so helpful in contacting the car rental company and keeping us calm in a fraught situation. It was comforting to wait in a lovely cool lobby on a hot day!
Sorry we did not get your name, but thank you again. We had a great holiday!

My trip advisor reviews are always constructive and objective and I do not see the point in being anything but honest to help fellow travellers. So my review on this hotel is mixed. First impressions of the hotel is that it is well located, opulent and classy. The front of desk staff were warm and welcoming, but check in took far too long. After a long drive from Monterey, we waited about 10 minutes to check in as the front of desk staff tapped away at the terminal computers for other guests, apparently struggling to get the answers that they needed. Anyway, check in completed, the staff member told me that breakfast was included in the rate. I asked him to clarify his statement and he confirmed that breakfast was indeed included in the room rate. See comments later. I then enquired about the wine bike tour which was included in my itinery. He told me that the concierge would be in at 9am the next morning and would assist me with this. We wanted a drink and the bar at the lobby was closed, but we were told that their bar was open in the brassiere next door which was attached to their hotel. The bar was incredibly small and noisy with sound bouncing off the walls, such that a conversation was very challenging. The bar prices were reasonable and we paid €28 for a bottle of sparking wine.

So onto the room.....very lovely large room with massive bed, all the amenities. The only weird thing was that the tea and coffee facilities were in the bathroom!. That aside, no complaints whatsoever with the room.
After a good nights sleep, we go downstairs for breakfast. This is located in their attached building called the brasserie which involves walking alongside the hotel into a seperate building. The breakfast was incredible. Service fantastic and we were very happy overall with the experience. Again, I clarified with the waiter that breakfast was included. He confirmed so.

After breakfast spoke to Ryan about our bike tour with ace it bike tours (see seperate review). We had a problem which Ryan resolved very well offering another option and oohing was too much trouble.

So to check out I went after two nights and spoke to the front of staff member who checked me in. He told me that my extras were the two breakfasts. I told him that he checked me in and that both he and the waiter at the breakfast venue told me that breakfast was included. After much typing into his terminal, he decided to wipe the bill clean of the breakfast charge. So good resolution, but communication obviously disjointed.

Yes, the hotel is close to the freeway, but we encountered no noise issues, it's close to downtown shops and bars so good location. We enjoyed our time at the Hyatt and would return again.
