First, some people mentioned this motel in the "Motel 6 Santa Rosa North" reviews and said this South one was even worse than the North one, so check that out 1st. Sounds like people ran across problems (gangs etc) that we didn't.
We stayed here on a Saturday night because they were $100 lower than Sebastopol hotels. Thought it to be a cozy room, with nice blue carpet and blankets, 2 beds and new bathroom. Actually had a modern/retro feel to it. Black-out curtains - won't see a peep of light when they're closed. The swimming pool was really clean, large, refreshing, excellent for a morning swim - we were the only ones in the pool. Great Thai restaurant next door that let us get take-out, called Bangkok Thai Cuisine.
We needed an escape from stimulation, and this room/hotel/Thai next door did the trick. Slept wonderfully, and I swear this place seemed safe! Maybe it's because we got here around 5pm, wiped out, and fell asleep by around 9pm.
