We stayed at this hotel for two nights at a fabulous rate of $70/night...and that was over President's Day Weekend, no less! For that cost, how could I complain about much?
The property itself was easy to find, on a major road, and there was a Starbucks and some fast food restaurant choices/casual dining just about a half mile up the road. The area was so-so, but didn't feel unsafe, either.
We had a two Queen bed room which provided more than enough space for four people (two adults and two small children). The bathroom provided the typical toiletry items, a hair dryer, coffeemaker. There were only 3 bath towels provided but we had the kids share one, so no harm done. The room was clean, as was the bathroom, and the furniture was in good shape. There was an ungodly amount of noise from the room above us and the hallway noise was a little louder than I am accustomed to, but, again, I kept my perspective given the cost of the room.
The breakfast area was smallish and relatively sparse. The waffles were good but took a little bit of time to cook and only one person could cook at a time, which led to some waiting. There were only a couple of dry cereal choices (both of which were near empty), some green bananas, apples, and a small variety of muffins and breads both mornings we ate there. The woman tending the bar was very pleasant, however, and was trying to attend to what little food was there.
The exercise room was TINY! Only an exercise bike, a treadmill, and a weights machine. And, it would have been nice to have a TV in there. But, no one else was in there when I used it or when my husband used it later that night, so no big whoop.
All in all it was a good stay, and you can't beat the price, especially over a holiday weekend. We have come to Santa Rosa two years in a row for the Tour of California (congratulations, Levi!) and will likely stay here again next year.
