I was met a my door by three squad cars arresting some of the guests! Others were hanging over the balconies and sitting outside their doors with drinks in their hands. The people were horrible-looking. It was like a prison yard. It was the first time in my life that I truly was in fear to stay some place. If I could have gotten my money back, I would have immediately left! I probably should have. It was stupid of me to stay. The motel is located in a desolate industrial area far from downtown. I didn't even get the continental breakfast because I didn't want to push my luck, and I didn't want to be around those creepy people again. The room was fine for the price.

This place was nice enough for the price [$91/night, plus taxes, etc.], though the location isn't anything great [on a large boulevard, next to one or more tattoo parlors, in a commercial/ industrial area]. The pool was cold, and the hours on the whirlpool were too short.

But what ticked me off is, although the room was entirely prepaid through Priceline.com, when I got home, a mysterious additional charge of $168 had been placed on my credit card by this Days Inn. I didn't damage anything, leave a mess, or anything. I'm disputing the charge right now through Visa....

Moral: check your statement CAREFULLY when you get home....

“good choice”

Days Inn Santa Rosa

Jul 19, 2008

what a good choice.
we booked in for 3 nights . we arrived from the uk and got the airporter bus which dropped us off right outside the hotel. front desk were excellent and very polite. the rooms were very clean and well maintained. the hotel was located near road but the rooms were quite. only downside you have to go up the street for restraunts, but hotel are hoping to open up a restraunt on site which is an excellent idea. i would really recommend staying here. we stayed again in july for one night on our way back before returning to the uk.

Gentleman at front desk was very informative and nice. Great attitude toward customer service. Great first impression. We were here for a very short time. I was concerned when we booked. We were getting married at the break of dawn in a hot air balloon and I wanted a nice room to get ready in. The room was very spacious and clean. Plenty of room for a bride to run around like a wild woman at 4am. Our cell phone died. We forgot our charger. Front desk gave us a huge box of left over chargers to sort through to see if any were compatible. Should I pass through Santa Rosa again. I would definitley stay at this hotel.

check in desk person was nice, friendly, quick

room was non-smoking but had a heavily musty smell, as if the room had been a smoking room for many years, then they slapped a fresh coat of paint on and are now calling it non-smoking; this bothered me the most about my stay

be forewarned - the sauna, pool, fitness center all close at 8 pm on Saturday and even earlier on Sunday; this really bothered me because I stayed at this hotel just for the sauna and fitness center; I checked in at 7:45 pm and was looking forward to a swim and sauna but no chance; I never stayed at a hotel where the pool and sauna close so early so didn't think to ask before making a res

hair dryer in room was really weak (wouldn't comment on this if it wasn't truly very weak)

bathroom door wouldn't stay shut, small annoyance

carpet, paint, bathroom fixtures/shower, and possibly the bedding was new in my room, which helped spruce it up overall, but that smell was nasty (I'm sensitive to those things, maybe you're not)

shower was nice and hot and strong pressure

they're charging too much for a hotel like this, but considering the prices of the other places in the area, you'll save money

    • Liked — cheaper than surrounding hotels
    • Disliked — limited pool/sauna hours, bad smell in room
