“Great Mexican Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

We discovered this restaurant many years ago and always plan to enjoy a meal here when in the area. While the restaurant serves standard Mexican food, it also has house specialties and more unusual choices. The back of the menu tells the story of this family run restaurant and I read it every time. Only a hundred feet from the 10th Street exit from Highway 126 on the main entry to Santa Paula, it is convenient to reach and prices are reasonable. And the food is great.

“Expected more.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2012 via mobile

My wife, daughter, and I went here at the recommendation of a couple friends. Pretty basic Mexican food menu. Burritos, enchiladas, chili releno, etc. pretty inexpensive. This place has been around a very long time and seems to be very popular, but we both considered it to be overrated. Food is "El Torito" quality. Maybe we are spoiled because the amount of good Mexican food we have around, but I don't think we will be going back.

“Still Going Strong”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2011

Familia Diaz has been at it at this location for about 75 years, and they look good to make a century. The restaurant is comfortable, with big, plush booths. Quantities are more than ample, and there's a wide variety of dishes available. Customers can acess a variety of salsas if they'd like to make their meals spicier. Service is professional and attentive, and the fod is very good value.

At lunchtime, they've replaced their buffet with an all-you-can eat set meu. If you can eat more than the plateful they serve you to begin, you're a truly big eater!
